Lovers
Zevran is as much a Lover as he is a Fighter. Is your Warden victim to his wiles? Show us! Just friends? Maybe take a crack at a lover from the past. Rinna's fresh on our minds after all!
Fighting side by side, relaxing away from an adventure, or adventuring away from relaxation, just show us how they're together! This can be fluff, not really a kmeme prompt after all, but if it's 18+ in any way please do tag appropriately. Please take this as literally or figuratively as you like, everyone's concept of love is very different, and i'm excited to see variety.

I really liked this one. The unique timing of the piece set it so early in their love, but before Zevran could think to propose, and a window to see a rather full caravan just after Orzammar. It showed how even with a small army behind them, Elam and Zevran were in their own private world.

A rather amusing look at their love from the outside, and how elves can really make ripples turn into waves. The finale of a little shameless exhibitionism was in good humor, too, and it's nice to be reminded that Zevran is never ashamed of his feelings... particularly when there's fun to be had in simply being himself, to someone else's discomfort. The non-entry "follow-up" was a little darker, but I mean that in a good way. I think jealousy is healthy, and in a world that can take everything away (announcer voice!), I think laying claim is romantic.

I have to admit I felt the premise of this one, while fun, was probably the weakest premise of the entries we had. That little dwarf is fun, though... honestly, I really liked your non-entry follow-up better. Considering them all together though and looking past the idea of kissing lessons it was still a fun story and it was really neat seeing Zevran NOT be the dominant force in the relationship. A too-unique point of view that's always good to see, and I agree he can definitely be shy when looking at commitment.

I could see this being told by the Warden to a grandchild or something, maybe with the orphan having required the censorship on the name-calling. .. not sure who's doing the slapping, though, lol. It felt very opinionated and personal, as if told by someone the story was dear to, and of course was rather funny.

Am I greedy to hope that turns out a love triangle? Mm, Zevran and Fenris, THAT has to be a guilty pleasure. This piece didn't let out the serious, regretful emotions of being a widower or being stuck in a rut with passive-aggressive Fenris, though. All in all I think it's strong spackle to wondering why Zev might say no to Bela and yes to Hawke.

This banter-style thing felt legit! Even if by canon standards I think Zevran/Sigrun would have to be classified as crack pairing, the mood and timing was great. Sometimes writing less can be a lot harder than writing more, and I laughed several times reading these.

As for the winner ... well, I have a winner who will be picking the prompt, but I also thought there was a definite tie, or honorable mention, or whatever that deserves at least a little prize. So may I introduce the runner-up, Corker! Your banter was fantastic, and gave us all a good giggle, I think, and most of us will probably be using the line 'vex you up' at least once in the coming month.
The playful style and 'ownership' of the story I felt in the tone of tklivory's piece made an overall INCREDIBLY hard decision at least a little easier. I enjoyed every entry, but I really think this is the one that called out 'pick me, pick me!' in my head. It was a really hard call, though... if I had the time, I'd be inclined to say everyone's a winner! There were aspects of every story (even those sad and dark) that stood out to me JUST as much as the funny, and I think it's probably coincidence that both of my favorites ended up to be more humorous.
