I did it... though I didn't have strength to leave it as a tragedy. It would break my heart. I cried while I was writing it anyway:  Cold Blood

@ aro - the detail on this WIP is phenomenal - I was admiring it yesterday - thinking to myself you did that all with your mouse - and with my few attempts a brush strokes and hair in the end I was just  
I think digital art is the way for me where I can just move bones around and pose models - maybe learn a bit of photoshop to make it more original - I see so much on DeviantArt I simply luv - Mavrosh's Drow Men & misc. others are stunning

All but the hair is with the mouse, I finally got my tablet to stop spazzing out at me and being generally useless, so I used to for the hair on this one (and thus was finally able to do more of what I was trying to replicate with mouse-based brushes before). Mostly the natural tapering in and out from pressure, which I really needed and wasn't having a ton of luck faking.

It feels weird to be done with it after this long, lol. I put it up for print so that I can eventually have a copy for myself. XD

And I'm totally stoked about Zecret Zanta. It was a bunch of fun last year, and I'm glad we're doing it again. December is epic levels of hell for me for various angsty TMI reasons, so having something pleasant going on at least on the internets is a lifesaver.

I took it into my head that I wanted to see how an old original character of mine would fare as a villainous Warden, yet I didn't have the time to do another Origins runthrough right then.  So I did a mental walkthrough of the game, interrogating Odessa on her actions and reactions.  This was the Zevran recruitment scene, with an extension to the first night.

klidi  --  writing that makes you cry is good!  i will definitely check that out.  i was going to say though... if you want more challenge for this week, you could do that scene of zevran's first night with airam from airam's point of view.  just to switch it up.  but i really say that because i'm still curious as to airam's motivations and just HOW he knew zevran wouldn't kill him.  which i expect zevran is too, so that makes sense.  i'm going along here with zevran trying to figure that crazy kid out.


aroikhen --  you do that with a MOUSE?  omg, tell me you have a tablet...  oh good, you have a tablet   fenris' hair came out very well!  i was thinking, 'white hair? zomg, that's gonna be tough,' but you got it looking both full and white.  great job!


i dont even want to ask about covering naughty bits with zevran's head....  :X

tklivory --  oh, i have to thank you again for forcing me to write the torchwood crossover piece.  because i had to go back and check the episode for details of that scene, and found that netflix had another 'season' (or mini-series i guess?) of torchwood added on there that i hadn't seen.  and that i had to watch marathon sessions in 2 days before they yanked it off streaming again.  grr!  i probably wouldn't have noticed that on there if it weren't for you.  thanks!

Bloodsong - that's also already done, partially. What can I say, I love those two and I love write about them. :happy:  For the reasons, however, you will have to wait. That will be explained in Failed to Fail.

Airam's view on the first night is in the story Strange Thing Mystifying.

It was for kmeme prompt, where Zev, in established relationship, suddenly refuses to have sex with his partner, becaue of his past abuse in his brothel. It fit nicely with how I imagined Zev slowly overcoming his PTSD. It's set some time after Awakening.

The oneshots in Ice and Leather collection are not in chronological order. I put it there as I write it, so yes... it's full of spoilers. ^^

And HOW did you put that tattoo on Zevran's shoulder? O.o

Ah, I wish I knew how to use the toolset. So far I only learned to do morhps.

@tkl -- you say that like it's a good thing... :X


@klidi -- forget toolset. the uv-mapping in the game is mirrored on the body, so there's no way to do asymmetrical tattoos and scars and stuff on the body and limbs. that, my friend, is just slapped onto that picture with photoshop.
although... yeah, the base shot was made in the cutscene editor. cutscenes are your friend! learn to make a basic cutscene so you can do screenshot-style illustrations like errant knight does!


i'm almost done with part one of 'bannon & zevran ...and valorien,' which is the 'first night' thingy. well, one of them. because after doing that one, of course i had to do one for the main actual/canon story.

REMINDER: this week's prompt is due at the end of this Sunday coming up*. for those who wanted to participate (but haven't done so yet).


(*) yeah, like i'm going to sit here with my stopwatch at 8pm eastern time and make an exact cut-off. :X if its there by the time i read 'em monday afternoonish, it's all good.

I do like this week's prompt a lot -- it's a great topic to explore. Unfortunately for me (or fortunately, given my lack of writing time...), I have done it previously for both of my writing-Wardens, so I'll just leave these here.

Not at all! I haven't written anything about Zev and Tannu meeting. The earliest Zevran in S&S is the first time Tannu makes him give him a safeword.

@tkl  --  no, you're not the only one.  when i started building bannon & zevran's story in my head, i never had anything for that particular part.  like i say, the game just glosses over it, so i did, too. 

now, having said that... i've finished writing that part for 'bannon & zevran ...and valorien' for my prompt.  the alternate universe with my two elven wardens in one story.  and.... there was a way to make a link somewhere... standard form...
