The Symphony I See in Thee, on second thought....  Not to be outdone, a romanced or friendly Warden writes Zevran some poetry back, just as bad (or even worse!).  You can do the poem itself, the process of the Warden writing the poem, or trying it out on other hapless team mates--or even the recital.  Since this is the Zevthread, make it clear that the poem is about Zevran or is being written for Zevran.

This Zev head is getting much better and strangely the hair doesnt bother me at all. Its pretty good I think. Love the colour of it mmmm.

...buuut .... Mouth is TOO pouty LOL and thin the nose tip slightly, but then I think thats as close as you will get him. If it were me though Id play with his eyes more, his eyes are very special and that is what defines him the most for me.

I think slightly wider set (match cheekbone width though), darker amber colour.

Thats a very awesome reproduction of him though, I really like it - its closer than many other DAZ/Poser art I have seen of him so far.

If I may offer my two cents, both Zevs have problems with lips. Bit too wide, and Tryyn's Zev also too fat.
I agree with Tryyn that something seems to be off with his nose, though I'd say it's nostrils, not the tip. But maybe that's just because of the angle, I'm not sure. It's always difficult to judge it from one shot. Still, I think it's pretty close.

LOL Tryyn's Zev is a screenshot from DAO - although he did have Ejoslin's Face Morph which fixed alot of his lines/angles that were wrong which I forgot about.

Why I chose this morph over the others is because it kept the Zevness - there is a Zev look that has to be reproduced somehow for me to really like it, otherwise it doesnt grab me - mostly in the eyes I think. I am probably the worst critic, so I dont mind if ppl want to ignore my critique of Zev Morphs.

Yes Zev's lips in my photo bug me a little, he also looks like he is 18 to me in this shot which concerns me slightly LOL, but he changes depending on what light he is in. This is the brightest I have.

I will add - I think his eyebrows need to be flatter and longer now - that may give him a wider set appearance... grrr - I want to do a morph now but I cant way too much other stuff I need to do.

Eh. I think I tried all Zev morphs on Nexus and I still wasn't satisfied - most of them changed his eyes. Zev without heavy eyelids and is not Zev for me. Or his colours - pale skin, blue eyes and black hair? That's your average elf, that maybe looks good, but it's not Zev. There was one mod that avoided it all and was almost perfect - except it gave him a goatee.

That was the main reason why I downloaded the toolset and learned to make my own morphs. But I don't think Zev in your screenshot looks like 18 year old. 18 years old don't have that many wrinkles on their brow. My Zev looks even younger than that - I wanted him to look like 24 years old beautiful elf that would fit with my Air (who is 18) without making me feel like a pedo.

And I love that picture from Fade, too. I even changed it into gif, for my devArt story: Fade. It's too big to post it here, but feel free to check it and criticize it.

that's all good.

i can't really SEE it for seeing it. i mean, i tried to match the toolset mug shots exactly, and he just came out uglier and uglier. and looking between one picture and another, all i see is: 'that ain't it.' so the 'do this with mouth, do that with eyes' is helping immensely. will work on it some more. there's no reason i can't hammer on it for a few more months.

It can't look worse than the DA2 Zev. I think yours is coming out great.

I agree with Tryy that his eyebrows look too arched (he has a lower brow, I guess?). To me his nose looks like it should be a tad thinner, his bottom lip less pouty and his top lip more visible, but it's coming along great IMO

How did they get Zev's eyes so real - I look at them and there is someone there behind them. I know thats weird right? LOL I love his eyes - I loved the conversations in game so much just because I could sit and stare into them.

Corker, I much prefer your presentation of the writing process, but Zaxarus' poem is truly, amazingly, hilariously awful, and at the same time very endearing.  I had a genuine d'aww moment at the end of it.  I'm sorry Corker my dear, the poem is just not bad enough (as always, your Surana is an over-achiever, and its getting her in trouble).

Personally i liked Corker's prompt more as a stand-alone. story. Mine was (as always) more thought to be integrated in my Nemain novell.
I'm still thinking about a new prompt idea. I hope tomorrow i have a good one, because i hope that the winter-sleeping-phase comes to an end.

okay... now i have two versions.

5a1  is the same one i was working on as last time.  in this one, i squeezed his head.  which probably wasn't a good idea to do, really.

6  is a new one.  i didnt squeeze his head, i used the morphs. 


pick one.  and i can still work on it further, so keep those suggestions coming!

I think I prefer the top one for length and proportions (5a1)

He is getting closer to the mark you are nearly there.

Eyes seems much better/more alive - try putting a dark brown/black outline around pupil if possible - to give them more depth.

Still lips (although they are better) still too saggy/pouty - try sucking them in like in underbite & eyebrows thinner-longer, nose/nostrils thinner still (although inconsequential perhaps) and slightly smooth out his features, he has great bone structure but so he is not boney - it is only a slight adjustment though.  Most of this is very slight adjustments he is nearly as perfect as I think your going to get him.

I know I am being fussy - sorry.... you can ignore me if you like he does look close enough.

He is prolly the best morph I have seen of him so far, outside of DAO Toolset and better than 95% Zevran morphs Ive seen.

Keep it up if you can - (if not see Zev about those herbs he mentioned) LOL I know.... I bad

Animal Farm.... 
With other humans (or elves) being very important for Zevran most of the time i would like to read something about Zevran and animals. No, nothing about animal massage styles, but perhaps about special phoebias. Or does he like an animal very much, adores or envies it? Has there been an animal in his youth? Had he to care about an animal as part of a disguise? Has he ever lived on a farm?
Tell us something about Zevran's abilities to cope with an animal.
One constraint: no Mabari or Halla please, i mean "normal" animals.

Time Limit: the usual three hours

really? bugger, i like the bottom one better. he looks meaner.
and those lips are giving me a headache. can you define the exact difference between 'pouty' lips and 'full' lips? the look, i mean. i'm trying to go for the right one. is it maybe that ugly crunch under the lower lip that is making it look horrendous? i have to try to do something about that.

okay, peering at it again, i like the top one's mouth, jaw, and nose, and the bottom one's brows and eyes.

I like the bottom one better, too - his jaw looks more like Zevran's, I think. But the mouth is still too wide.
But. I downloaded DAZ. And. I always loved your pictures, but now I really bow down to you. It's frustrating and complicated and my attempt at Air will haunt me in my dreams for weeks.

@Zax, mabari are not normal animals? Too bad I wanted to write a story with Air's mabari.
