I decided to check in and give everyone an update on my Zevran/Crow sketch. So far I have found my sketchbook and my art pencils. I'm not really procrastinating, I'm just distracted by other things at the moment. lol

Bloodsong, I agree with Corker so you can blame me too. I don't think Bannon and Zevran are an annoying duo. I think they are quite funny together, that is unless you write sad stuff that makes me cry.

I wish I could get the gate kisses for my game, but I play the xbox 360 version. I have the pc version, but my graphics card isn't compatible, so my computer won't play it. I plan to get a newer computer when my financial situation is better.

@Bloodsong - sorry for not answering before, it was hockey madness here. Now that we suceessfuly lost (successfully, because we still have silver, but the loss still hurts) I'm back among living.

I don't know if you figured it out already, but to make ZRS work, you need Zevran's Earring mod.That is the only required mod. Other mods are optional, but for Zevran's fans very nice to have.

The only thing you have to do is to remove zevran_main.dlg and zevran_main.dlb files. So if you download ZDF Dialogue fix, you need to remove it.

Another nice mod to have is Gatekisses. If you have also ZDF, delete party_events.dlg and party_events.dlb from ZDF folder.

Now all three should work together fine.

Dialoge Tweaks is not compatible with ZRS. Better Sex Cutscenes are compatible. They come in two versions (three for elven females, if I remember correctly - I play males, so I'm not sure), so you don't have to be very pervy - but it's still better than vanilla 'sexy heads'. xD

Bad news. I have a friend in bioware, and he said that they have no plans for Zevran in DA3. He said we'll "meet a few of his agents". But that's it.

Meh, that's a GOOD news. One fugly abomination in DA2 was enough for me. I'm more worried about 'his agents'. If they decide to ignore romance and make him Crow guildmaster, I will not buy the game.

I fear they'll exactly do that. I assume this "he had solved his problems with the Crows thru the help of Hawke" will be the canon story and we'll see/hear about him as Guildmaster or at least very high ranking Crow.

i did something! sort of... i drew a stick figure cartoon for the prompt. but it sucks. i had an idea for an image to make for the prompt... but no time to actually make it. but i have a bit of writing business that i think will fit the bill!

From the DA2 Codex entry, it sounds like it's bloomed past personal security and gone into "a greater cause" land.  I can think of a variety of reasons why that might happen, depending on the events of DAO, from the selfless to the selfish to the "wait, when did this happen?"

I still didn't get very far with the sketch, but I started it. I'll do some more work on it this weekend. I am fairly new to DA2, so I have been reading some of the threads in that section. It's very easy to lose track of time on these forums. Sometimes I have to force myself to walk away and go eat or something. lol

No, I still don't think Bannon and Zevran are annoying. I suppose I could see why Alistair would though.

I would actually like to see Zevran in DA3 if we could take him with us as a companion.

da2 isn't any great shakes. and if/when you see how zevran looks in it, perhaps you'll change your mind on him being in da3. ;X

Oh man.  As I occassionally mention, I do/have done amateur performance stuff and... Bannon, I feel ya!  I loved the physical descriptions, and I could really feel the vaudeville sort of act Bannon was putting on there.  XD

Congratulations Bloodsong. I enjoyed reading it. I enjoyed yours too Klidi.

I still haven't worked any more on the sketch yet. I have played all the way through DA2 twice so I have seen Zevran. When I say I'm somewhat new to DA2, I mean that I am newer to it than most everyone else here. Although I will admit that Zevran in DA2 doesn't look anywhere near as good as he looks in DAO, I already knew what to expect because I have read through this thread and the old Zevran thread. I already knew what he looked like, so I was prepared. I just tried to enjoy DA2 for what it was and tried not to compare it to DAO. For all we know, if Zevran is in DA3 they will change his look again.

Corker, I read the chastity belt song. Now I need to find it on you tube so I can get it stuck in my head too. lol

So how did the Blight and meeting the Warden change Zev? (Whether he romanced Warden or not doesn't matter.) I want him to realize that something is different. It might be something big change in him, his worldview, etc... or it might be a small detail - e.g. he might realize that after years in Ferelden, he prefers lamb stew instead of fish chowder. ;D Funny, fluffy or sad, whatever you want.

I like this thread... Seems like a sort of respite from all the fevered posturing and position-taking threads... What's a DAO forum without a healthy dose of assassin's creed existentialism?

That said, I was inspired to make a contribution for the weekly prompt... except that it was for the previous weekly prompt... since I can't seem to limit my writing and thus it took too long... though I'm not sure if it actually matches the stipulations sufficiently... Anyway, obviously not a submission for the highly competitive prize awards being handed out, but still, for posterity's sake:

Yeah, seconding BV - frankly, I think we could even stand to see more announcements of Zev-related fanworks updates. Time was, *everyone* had a Blight fic going on, and if the thread were used for announcements, it would have been a swamp of updates. But it's so much quieter now, I don't see much harm in relaxing the unspoken rule that one doesn't flog one's chapter updates. (Or fanart updates, but those are usually posted to much fanfare. As they deserve! )

Any thoughts, y'all?

Bloodsong, I know I am falling completely behind on that and other things. Please forgive me for my contribution of nothingness at the moment. I think I'm subconsciously afraid to work on it because I'm worried it will look awful when it's done.

Well, at least I was able to update my character profile so that's something. Now everyone can see my most current Gray Warden who romanced Zevran. Her name is Sundarra and she's a Dalish elf warrior. I'm trying to play through Awakenings with her and she misses Zevran.
