can anybody verify the source of the image in the above post?  i can't find that image on aimo's devart galleries.  i tried sending her a note to ask, but never got a response.  i sorta used the idea in a quip zevran makes in my fanfic, and i wanted to credit that artist for the idea.  plus link to his/her pic/gallery.

If it's not in her album here on BSN (I think it is but didn't check), then it looks like the image source is just in her photobucket account. I couldn't see it in her devart page either.

Hi all!
I just finished a playthrough where I saw all of Zevran's romance for the first time, and I came back to the forums here just to find a sympathetic audience to squee with.

I can't believe you get the achievement for romancing him so early, and there is so much more to it.  Love the dialog about the earring (NOT  A LOVE TOKEN, NOT AT ALL) and his little freakout, then coming to his senses again.  I refused to bring him along to fight the archdemon, and it was heartbreaking to part with him.  And then in the epilogue, he feels like an established relationship.  (I'm going to rebuild the Wardens, will you come with me?... Of course, you're stuck with me now...) <3

As my offering to the Zevran shrine, here's a quick fanfiction scene I wrote after the end of my game.  I played male City Elf fighter, the "Secret Companion" killed the archdemon, and poor Alistair left the Wardens in despair (I still feel bad about that).  The PC is the last Grey Warden in Ferelden and is really glad that Zev stuck around to help with all the new recruits.

Zevran had that disapproving look again. 

I don't mind learning to repair armor.  I've only been a Grey Warden for a few weeks, and I'm still getting over the shock of learning all of their secrets at once.  Always expected I might want a family one day, a partner to grow old with once I retire from fighting.  Wups.  Guess not. 

I think the Commander is giving me simple tasks so that I'll have time to think.  The armory is a pleasant enough place in summer, with sunlight slanting in to warm up the wooden floor.  Zevran is good company, and tells the best stories while we sit around and stitch.  But right now he's got that look that means he's about to start complaining about the inferior leather we have in Ferelden.  I'm *really* sick of hearing that.  So I blurted out the first question that came to mind.

"Why are you teaching us, if you won't go through the Joining yourself?  Do the Grey Wardens mean something to you?"

He glanced up from the gauntlet he was working on.  "Only one of them does."

Everyone knows about the two of them.  They don't talk about it much, but it's not exactly a secret why Zevran is here.  He isn't in the order though.  He could still have it all, the family, the retirement, someone to grow old with.  Doesn't he realize?

"But you two don't exactly get to live happily ever after, do you?  He's a Grey Warden. When the taint starts to catch up to him, he'll be called to the Deep Roads to die fighting darkspawn.  How many years does he have to live, ten?  Doesn't that bother you?"

Zevran tucked a blond strand behind one pointed ear.  "No, because I expect the Crows will track me down and kill me long before that."

Crap.  He sounded as calm as if he was predicting tomorrow's weather.  I heard he used to be a Crow, but wasn't that ancient history?  "You think they are still hunting you?"

"I think," the Commander said, "that you and I together could kill one hell of a lot of Crows, Zev."  He shouldered through the door awkwardly with his arms full of blunted practice swords.

Their eyes met, and for a moment I wondered if they were angry about something. I thought about ducking out, but the Commander was blocking the door. 

Zevran looked away first.  "True."

The Commander turned to place the swords on their rack, one by one.  Zevran continued, "And when you are called, you and I together will kill one hell of a lot of darkspawn."

The Commander whirled around so fast, he actually dropped the last practice sword.  He *never* drops a weapon.  "Zev, no."

Zevran met his gaze again.  "If my battles are yours, then your battles are mine."

This time the Commander looked away.

Zevran went back to stitching leather.

And yes, that 'Easy Lover' achievement is a little on the deceptive side...takes quite a bit more to get him to fall in love than a tumble.

Hi all. I do not know where to ask, ask in the Zevrans Thread.

In the topic, I read that in DA3 Zevran will not be present.
It is also not have shown in the comics of the Antiva ("Silent Grove"), only mentioned in single phrase.
How there was his fate with the Hero of Ferelden is not known.
Should we think that the developers refused this character, in consequence
of homophobic pressure or low popularity?
Or we can hope that developers will give us some information about Zevran and
his future?

Hey guys! I have a question about the Zevran romance: if I ignore sleeping with him until he switches over to love during the Landsmeet, will the romance progress as normal? I really want to play my character as a girl who is considerably uneducated about the matters of love, and really wants to wait until she "falls in love" before having sex (basically, think Leliana or Alistair, ahaha)... However, I think the conversation about earing and stuff only occures after you've slept with Zevran? Or does it progress normally regardless?

But anyways, Zevran will be one of my 'cannon' romances (I have one that's a human noble with Alistair, for example), and I really like his character: there is so much to him than what meets the eye.
I really like to think that, in my head, after the events of Origins, that my warden and him hunts down the Crows together, and that one day they'll start a family, even if Grey Wardens have low fertility rates and everything...
His cameo in DA2 really bothered me, though; disregarding his revamp and everything to fit the new style for elves, I really disliked the fact my Warden wasn't with him. (Same thing going for Leliana and Alistair)
I mean, I understand why my Wardens weren't with their LIs, but it really bothered me.

Anyways, back to Zevran's romance - I really wish there was more to it in certain areas.
It would have been interesting to say to Zevran, down the line after all the flirting when he offers to spend the night with you that you that you're a virgin (well, I'd like the option for most of my characters to outright say that lol) or something, and you don't want to do something so imtimate without the possibility of a future together - I don't know, it would have been interesting I think, if you could have had such a conversation with him... he know at that time that he had the whole "I want to get my pleasures where I can" so I wonder if that would have swayed him away from the Warden, or perhaps, maybe even closer to them? I'm not sure... food for thought?

Yes, you can do the romance that way, as long as you don't end it when he offers you the massage. There should be a dialogue option that turns him down because "we're not exactly alone;" that keeps the romance active but you won't go to the tent.

He won't ask again after he hits Love, though - your Warden will have to raise the subject. Also, unless you have a fan-made patch installed (I think ejoslin made one for this, yes?), after tent-time you will get the same dialogue as you would have at a lower approval rating. "So, what next?" I believe it's a bug - if he's in love, he's not supposed to say that.

ejoslin did the awesome ZDF that fixes an awful lot of the bugs in DA and polishes the dialogues considerably.

and cerah, i agree with you there! it was sooooooo awkward with allie and alistair when he's all 'uhm, derp, i dunno what i'm doing' and she can't say she doesn't know, either. lol!

than anything a game will say.
i was sad that
he was not in DA:Awakenings.
he is ugly in DA2.
i am glad he is not in DA3.
i do not think it is from homophobia.
there was a lot of wish for more same-sex romance for DA.
and they made it possible with all the DA2 characters.
his bi-sexuality made the game more popular, i think.

i know what happened to my zevran, in my personal story. and it's far better than any silly letter in awakenings, fish-headed cameos in da2, or a deformed kreacher in da3. seriously. or "oh, he stayed with the warden 'for a while,' then ran off with isabela and varric, and took over the crows, and opened a fish-chowder franchise," and all that.

It seems, best himself make up the future for Zevran and Grey Warden. I was also very unpleasantly surprised that Zevran went to an Antiva, leaving a loved one, and after eight (or nine) years has appeared in Kirkwall, ugly and terrible.
In addition, the end DA2 says Grey Warden had disappeared. Where was gone, why? Why the developers did not let him stay with a loved?
I try to forget the events of DA2, as a nightmare.
But I'm afraid the developers already have a Canon, under which they will sum Zevran.
