@Kornichon: I don't think the shared species would be enough to do it. Maybe if they looked similar or had similar personalities then it would remind him but just the species? Doubt it. I also don't think it's creepy for the Warden to remind him of Rinna. She was his first love (or the first person he thought he loved) and so no matter the gender or the species there's probably going to be a comparison to not only her but to Taliesin, too, because they are really his only frame of reference as far as attachments go. Actually, I was more disturbed when Leliana started telling me about how I was just like Marjolaine roughly two seconds after I killed her.
hmm yeah sure the specie of the warden is not the most remining point...
but that make me wonder if falling in love with the warden is not a bit quick after Rinna's death? (even if everyone have their own time to get over a loss)
but in fact I don't find the good words to explain what I mean, so... yeah Leliana creeps me out >_<
Hmmm, a bit less than a year has passed since Zevran took the warden contract (according to dialog) so it's not that soon afterwards.
Also, though, (donning flame-proof suit here), I have my doubts about the depth of Zevran's feelings towards Rinna. When he fell in love with the warden, he says he had no clue what love is, and he had to sort everything out. It's like how he considered Taliesen a good friend, until he becomes good friends with the warden, and then he says he never had a friend before.
It's like, at least to me, that before the warden, the depth of feelings, of relationships, was far shallower. It wasn't until he either became close friends or fell in love with the warden that he realized what friendship/love truly was.
Edit: Even if he felt he loved Rinna, he was so quick to not trust her and to let her be killed. He felt no bitterness towards the person who killed her. He was sad that Taliesen had to die, not relieved, not feeling vindicated. It seemed that when he was confessing about Rinna, it was more than he had done this horrible thing, but also what exactly he was, and what his worth as a person was.
