Sten... I prefer witty and clever characters, big strong silent warriors are not my type and I don't like, no, I hate Qun. Plus some of the dumb things he says (you look like a woman)... it took me some time to start liking him.
Ironically, I only started to like him after I killed him, twice - in a oneshot AU to Failed to Fail, and in the "whodunnit" story. I had to try to get into his head and understand him, and it was then that I realised he might not be as shallow as he seems when I play the game.

Yay, TOP!  Here's one tortured Zevran on a rack - see how he suffers? 


It's from chapter 47 of Deadly Serious at devArt:

And if Alistair saw Zevran in the Fade... a sloth demon tricked us, see. We were all trapped in our dreams or nightmares.

Alistair was having a very sweet dream about meeting his sister. Leliana was dreaming she was back in the Chantry. Wynne had quite a nasty nightmare about dead apprentices.

But Zevran... when I entered his nightmare, I saw him tied to the rack and two torturers threatening him. Naturally, I yelled at them to leave my friend be. And do you know what was the reaction of the silly assassin?

He opened his eyes, turned to me, and said: "Don't disturb me now. Can't you see I'm suffering?"

The main reason I really like Sten mostly stems from my love for one of CLAMP's manga. xxxHoLiC specifically. The character Doumeki Shizuka is the silent, stoic type and I really loved him, especially how much he seemed to care about the main character and how they grew and developed as the manga continued. So whenever I see a silent, stoic character, I think back to Doumeki and remember that there must be more to them than the emotionless facade. And also, it felt so damn good when he started calling me Kadan... >.>

And oh, he suffers beautifully. Let's us save him! xD

Edit: Which morph did you use for him? The one that's suposed to make him more elf-like with longer ears?

Where did I say bad about a particular person? Where did you get that from?
I said that I do not like when fans disfigure Zevran showing his cheap ****, created only for mating.
It is strange that here interpreted my words as a personal insult.

If I was going to say something bad about a particular person, I would have turned to him in a personal message, and certainly not in the overall theme!

That's one of my own morphs of Zevran, the one I'm using in the game.

And Darkspawn Chronicles. I dunno. I played through Origins and for some reason Darkspawn Chronicles gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it's because all the characters had grown on me so much? It was down to the point where I was defending Sten to my bf and even some of the characters people seem to hate. But I mean, come on, how could people NOT like Sten, he is totally awesome. Yes, but you dislike it without making a judgement call about the people who made it, and what their status is as fans (developers?). That is the difference.

There's a lot of stuff out there that I dislike, but I don't give the creators of that stuff any lip about their validity as fans. Mostly because I'm not insane.

Yes that is true. I still very much love the writers who worked on DA:O and I'm sure when I push myself to play Darkspawn Chronicles, I will enjoy it as well, but it will end in tissues and tears.

Frankly, Chronicles DLC I can not play.

Zevran even mocks his own suffering. He's great.

Ah man, seeing that outfit again brings back memories. One of my many roommates when I lived in Seattle dressed up as him for halloween one year. He snuck into a Victoria's Secret mall window and posed until security came to kick us all out. XD

My boyfriend and I used to go every Friday night to midnight showings of Rocky Horror. It's been a while and the crowed is a lot different than it was when we used to go, but I remember my friends used to dress up as well. If I remember, it was at a little local theater in Raleigh called The Ri'Alto.

The movie was never aired in Slovakia; I never heard about it until last summer, and everyone was saying how great it was, I decided to watch it. I finally managed to get to it only during Christmas holiday. I loved it, especially Frank, and I was so pissed off when he was killed. So when friends started to talk about how Zev would rock that costume, I knew I wanted to do it. I still think he doesn't look like a clown and that he'd be a great Frank.

Klidi - I'll admit, I did laugh when I saw it, but mostly for nostalgic reasons. I likely wouldn't have laughed if I hadn't know the reference, so this is a good thing.

I loved the movie myself, enough that I bought a dvd copy of it and watch it at home now since I miss going to see it at the theater. I'm pretty sure they still play it here every Friday.
