I didn't think you could get to the blood mage quests in Denerim until the lead-up to the Landsmeet?

 

However, if this game had a multiplayer mode, you would have my canon Warden's support.  Any chance he gets to wipe the floor with blood mages, he'll take, regardless of the consequences for his digestive system afterwards.

No, you can get it later in the game. I did it twice and i died each time. No, i need to have my old computer back with my OP Warden back. My Surana isn't my canon, she's.... Secondary. If i were able to bring her back into the game, i'd dust the floor with those ratty blood mages. She killed the High Dragon, she sure ain't allowing Blood Mages to get in her OP way (Plus she's a Templar too)

Does anyone have a screenshot of Zevran when he makes a killing blow? I had him land the killing blow against the arch demon on the last round and it was amazing. I just can't take screenshots of my choosing. Nothing seems to work.

All companions voice their suspicion regarding Morrigan's real intentions and she always dismisses it with a snarky response.

Zevran is the only one that succeeds in making her drop that attitude and get serious.

Zevran and my Male Lavellan - Best Friends for life. They'd get along along really well i suppose,  Artemis is a snarky guy that plays with fire and often get's away with it too because he's charismatic and cunning....

After Taliesen's attack, what response the your wardens picked when talking to zevran. My city elf, said that she would be sorely put off if he did. while jabbing her finger into his chest. I'll imagine that if zevran did leave. she would just sit on the steps of the crow attack refusing to budge, who cares if the blight covers the land, alistair can handle it.

My M!Surana's reaction was "It would be difficult to kiss you if you did" (while simultaneously wishing he could turn back time and persuade Taliesen to go back to Antiva without Zev, because that would have been the happiest ending for everyone concerned).

Funny - it's exactly the opposite with me. I love Zevran, he is my favorite companion and always my love interest. Except one time, when I tried the Leliana romance (can't do the Morrigan romance, because I always play females), which was not that bad, considering, I was reluctant because of her religious side. Last playthrough I wanted to try the last remaining romance for females, Alistair. He is a problem, because as a player, I'm really annoyed with him: He wont take any kind of responisbility and he is so childish - don't get me wrong, he's funny, but I have a really hard time to take himserious. I always make Anora Queen, because she seems so much better suited. At best, I make Alistair King with Anore as Queen. So befriending him, ok, but romance? Well... I managed to finish the romance nevertheless and it wasn't as bad as I thought, still I prefer Zevran. For all his jokes and flirting, he is much more down to earth imo.

 

As fo the bloodmages: Mana Clash is your best friend - they don't even get a spell out after that. My favorite spell by far. When I play as a mage, I learn it myself, if not Wynne and/or Morrigan gets it.

That would be my favorite response too although I love his response to 'I'd be glad to have you stay' as well. I have absolutely no intention to let Zevran go at that stage - I'd never complete that round. Anyway, when Taliesen made his appearance on this round, I chose, for the first time, the line 'Fine, I will kill you all' just to see Zevran's reaction because I always suspected that he might interpret it as he is on the crow's side. I think I was right. He replied 'That's not necessary. I'm not here to betray you.' And I was like 'Ah, baby' - wanted to hug him right there and then.

I almost always play as a male character, but I did try a female warden a few times just because Zevran is supposed to prefer female. It was on one of these rounds when I romanced Leliana, Alistair and Zevran and managed to unlock the achievement with Leliana and Alistair although in the end I chose Zevran. I'm a typical heterosexual female in that lesbian scenes do nothing for me. I was therefore pleasantly surprised how nice it was to romance Leliana and even Alistair impressed me by taking it so well when I broke up with him in the end. All the romance options have its charms, but Zevran is the one for my wardens, whether they are male or female.

 

On the nightmare difficulty, you can't kill an elite enemy mage outright with mana clash even with spell might, but white mages go down pretty quick. I went into the building as an arcane warrior with two other mages and Zevran as the only melee as my PC is rubbish at melee. I was apprehensive because between three mages, none of us had offensive AOE spells apart from mass paralyse (everyone had this and glyph of paralysis), waking nightmare, sleep. I think my PC had a mana clash, but that was about it. It went surprisingly well, even though one of the enemy mages did crushing prison on my PC, Zev got misdirection hex and we got a few fireballs thrown at us. .

I love Alistair - despite his flaws - I find it very hard to stay away from Alistair. Zevran's romance was... Okay in my oponion. Noting how I like morally good KISA types which what Alistair is. He's such a doll when I romance him..... Ugh, I could talk about Alistair all day. He's my canon romance and I'm his queen Consort. I've even got this wedding mod and all! *Sighs* Okay, I found Zevran's romace interesting..... But Alistair is probaly the one I'll choice if I were forced too. This playthrough, I spent pushing Alistair away so that I don't get the jealousy option. Cause dang, am I willing to hug Alistair and give him candy and then choice him.

My MCousland used to marry Anora for a political reason. Zevran open wedding mod changed all that. Family honor, duty and political ambition seem trivial when compared with the prospect of marrying Zevran.

Does dialogue fix mod also fix the bug of Zevran's status never updating to love when you choose the option? I like the option but never chose it for that reason. I had to uninstall Dialogue fix because I couldn't get Zev ring as an item my PC can actually wear with that mod (I know you can still get it as a plot item). Also the kiss scenes in the Zevran romance scenes mod seem so much sweeter, though the epilogue kiss scene doesn't seem to fit MCousland.

It also works fine with Charsen's ZevRing and ZevranASAP mods -- both of which I highly recommend. However, you must use the appropriate optional file to make it compatible with ZevRing. If using the manual version of ZevRing, you need to delete zevran_main.dlg/dlb from the ZevRing folder.

My Male Cousland isn't gay..... He is pulls a bit of a Cullen of being total oblivious when men try to flirt with him. He doesn't understand   (and he's a Morrigan romance so... There's that)

Working with various mods can be tricky, yes. Then, there is also a matter of a mod conflicting with your particular DA  version. I only recently got my DLC reinstalled (I didn't know how to reinstall it for a long time. I had uninstalled Dragon age ultimate edition steam version some time ago, blaming it for my inability to work with mods, which was totally unfair, bought a PC version, in fact two PC versions, so that I could have one each for my two computers) All three had different DA patch and a mod that will work fine with one version will not work with another. Since I got my steam version back, for instance, Karmas Companion behaves real funny and I can't use the mod any more.

Yeah, I don't generally bother with mods that add new companions or quest chains (though I did try out The Winter Forge, I found it less than impressive).  I also got a direct download version, since Steam doesn't sell a version for Macs anyway and modding Steam games can be a PITA.

 

Having said that, I'm on PC ver. 1.04, with a bunch of mods, and have only run into problems (so far) with Grey Wardens of Ferelden, despite following all the instructions.

Zev's armor makes him look like he has a flat, saggy, smushed, bosom, if you look at it just right.

That's the same mod I use for Zev. But where did you get his armour from?

Yeh, I tried the same mod with his original hair and still use the long hair morph one in every three rounds, but the short hairstyle actually suits Zevran surprisingly well and I prefer it.

As for the armor mod, I believe it was Dalls_Gear_Six (for rogues). He was actually wearing Felon's coat on that round and had only one item from that gear (stabber - a dagger that has messy kill. It's great for more killing blow animation but you'd be better off with the rose's thorn, damage wise, and by the time we reached the arch demon, I gave him the rose's thorn anyway - still had a great animation for Zev). The rest I sold off because I wanted to test two rogue two mage set up on nightmare difficulty using only vanilla items or items equal to or less powerful than the best vanilla items, which went pretty smoothly by the way. But once you install the mod, it seems to change the texture of every armor in the game. Incidentally, you probably could solo on the nightmare difficulty if you equip your rogue with the whole gear set. Pretty powerful stuff. So, if you like your game challenging, don't use the whole lot.
