*grin* There IS an epilogue card that is just forever and ever -- if you stay with the Gray Wardens, Zevran stays and helps train and recruit, though he never officially joins. There's no "for a time," there.
I think what bugs me most (aside from throwing OUT that slide as in *poof* it never happened hahaha) is that the warden has to chase after him. It's like whomever wrote that slide had no clue about what happened with the romance after Zevran fell in love. Zevran is the one who required the commitment; he's the one who vowed to stay with the warden no matter what (if you take a certain dialog choice in a fixed game). Even the letter (heh put back in) in Awakening indicates that he wants to do everything in his power to be back with the warden and never be separated again.
So what's this two years crap in Witch Hunt? I'm all for resolving all the romances -- but not at the expense of other romances! *cry* At least Leliana and Alistair were in Ferelden, so they're not necessarily separated.
I've never chosen that ending, maybe I should try that for some closure... none of my PCs are very loyal to the GWs (well not enough to rebuild!) after the blight... that's it... also I'm sure they don't keep the truth about the Grey Wardens a secret from Zevran.
... It's pretty clear why I wasn't too keen on Awakenings... no Zevran AND a plot that involves rebuilding an order that they were forced to join - noooooooooooooooooooooo.
I've moved from Xbox to PC and have not completed a game yet (thanks for the mods btw - got 3 on the go and trying to re-create my 'canon' CE in the faint hope that Bioware will deliver a decent end in some distant future. Maybe I'll get a character to be Loyal to the Grey Wardens yet!
