I think they did!

Of course, Zev + Dwarf is needed to keep this pic spam on topic I suppose!

The first one should probably be titled "Wynne disapproves -20". With "...but Oghren approves +10!" as a subtitle

And after they just had this conversation, too.
- Wynne: What are you playing at?
- Loghain: I beg your pardon?
- Wynne: She's young, but she's no fool. She hasn't forgotten what you've done.
- Loghain: Madam, I have no idea what you're trying to suggest. Speak plainly. If you wish to accuse me of something, do it.
- Wynne: Oh, I have so many things to accuse you of, Loghain Mac Tir, that I hardly know where to begin.
- Wynne: But I'll save them for another time, For the moment, know that I am watching you. Don't think a few friendly words for the Warden will put everyone off their guard.
- Loghain: If watching me amuses you, madam, feel free. Now, if you don't mind, I have things to attend to.

I think this is what annoyed me. Yes, you CAN come up with reasons (or excuses...) for your Warden to hit every expansion/DLC and have done all that stuff. But the 2 year gap between Awakenings and Witch Hunt seems arbitrarily long to me. I wonder if it aligns with something in DA2?
Thats what i would think too. They might be trying to make it fit with the DA2 events, since it overlaps DAO's timeline.
With how importing your character choices was bugged in WH and the whole diffrent possible course of events in DAO and Awakening, it looks to me they have a serious task on their hand to make all of it fit in DA2. And then we expect them to make our choices relevant, cause thats what RPG players enjoy: story continuity and consequences. sometimes i feel like they forget it. At least the new companions have good chances to be interesting ( /crosses fingers)
on an other note
Rereading all the possible gate dialogs Ejo posted, i think it prefer the ''You know i love you'' one. Zev just laugh and sounds so happy. Its one of the moments he sounds the happiest in the game, even if he cant say it back to the Warden. The one where he says hed fallow to the gate of the Black City is charming too, and very commited, but less happy.
And i like theres an opportunity for the Warden to say it to Zev cause i dont think theres a dialogue where the Warden uses the exact '' I love you'' words before ( there is in the Alistair romance, i dont know abut Leli and Morrigan). Cant blame the poor elf for not saying it if the Warden doesnt either !

Alistair or Zev behind.
Edit: oh i know they say it at the gate when romanced. I was curious if they say it before ( i didnt play their romance many times). Like for Alistair, you can tell him/ he tells the Warden after you first get him in the tent.

Although that did make the next time I heard "So cruel, to the end!" much sweeter, since it was the laughing, happy one. Of course, it was also just as sad, since I knew I was going in for a US. *sniff*

I really like the facial animation when he says this...

Thanks so much to ejoslin and Charsen <3 (you make me feel so much better about having to selectively choose my canon...)

And now for something completely irrelevant...
Being the silly fangirl I am, I'm making a Flash dress-up game for Zevran. If you have Adobe Flash Player, you can take the gander at the WIP over here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QIQH49KU
(this is only Zev in his full Fereldan-small-clothed glory, as of yet only the expressions and hair are customizable)
So uh, any suggestions for more hairstyles/outfits?

Prompt: Black hole
"Ha! Let's see... When was the last time I slipped my hand into some dark hole? Hmmm... Long story, that."
There's a Hole in the Bucket
"Not a word, Taliesin. Not a word, not a syllable, not an inarticulate grunt."
His partner leaned against the doorframe, grinning widely. "Then may I join you for tea?"
"Who is this? I did not give him permission to speak!" The tiny girl dropped her teacup to the table and pointed a slim golden wand at Taliesin. "Bow before the Queen of Antiva, cur!"
Taliesin bounced up off the doorframe, smile gone and anger in his eyes. Zevran held up a hand, warning him back. "This is the Guildmaster of the House of Crows, your Majesty. I am afraid he is recalling me to my duties."
"No! We must finish our tea!"
"Ah, but there is a sinister plot against your Majesty. I must go and foil it."
The 'queen' pouted. "Oh, very well. I would be cross if I were assassinated."
"Just so, your Majesty." Zevran carefully unfolded himself from the undersized, but gilded, chair that had been pulled up to the equally small and ornate table. Taliesin only half-stifled a chuckle at the befrilled, Orlesian-style doublet and fashionable over-the-knee, stacked heel boots. "Until we meet again." He gave a low bow, and the girl waved her wand in dismissal, before turning to her dolls to explain to them the details of the assassination plot against her.
The two Crows walked down the halls of the villa in silence for a moment, until Taliesin finally asked: "Why were you pretending to drink tea with Duke Orsino's daughter?"
Zevran sighed. "That is a long story. Duke Orsino had promised his daughter that she would have a real Crow for her Queen's Court, you see. He actually submitted a contract for it."
"Right!" Taliesin's eyes lit up. "I thought no one would take it? Too degrading."
"Indeed," Zevran replied drily. "Unfortunately, I was in dire need of a sapphire, which the duke could supply on short notice."
"A sapphire? Zev, we just finished a job. As soon as we get our cut..."
"That would not have been soon enough. You see, I needed the sapphire right away, to trade to the lapidary for some lifestones."
"I really don't follow. You can get acidic coatings from the quartermaster, you know."
"Ah, the lifestones were not for me. They were for the poisoner, the one just off the piazza. That was the payment she required for the antivenom."
Light dawned in Taliesin's eyes. "You were poisoned? On the job?"
"Finally, you connect all the pieces. Yes."
"What, the snake? But we knew about the snake, Zev! You were sure you'd be able to get the key before it could strike, and you wore hardened gloves to boot!"
"The captain was cleverer than we gave him credit for, Taliesin. Indeed, had the key just been in that hollow, protected by the snake, I think that I would have suceeded without any injury. But..." He made a fist with his hand and held it up. "The hole was smaller than this. One can reach in quickly, but when one tries to escape with the prize..." He dropped his hand and shrugged. "By the time I had adjusted my grip on the thing to remove my hand, the snake had more than enough time to bite its way through the gauntlet."
"You should have told me!"
"You had your own part of the job to do. I can take care of myself as, indeed, I have."
Taliesin sighed and shook his head. As the pair emerged into the late afternoon, the sunlight bright upon the gathering thunderheads, he said, "Zev?"
"Yes, my friend?"
"Do keep the boots."

"Ha! Let's see... When was the last time I slipped my hand into some dark hole? Hmmm... Long story, that."
Zevran looked down at what could best be called the slumbering mass on the bed before him. The slumbering hairy mass on the bed before him he thought with a shudder as he slipped his boots on. Taliesin would be laughing himself sick if he saw this, Zevran thought with a grimace.
Now to get that amulet the contact wanted so badly. Getting up and walking quietly like only a crow could, Zevran went around to the dressing table to get it. Not seeing it on top Zevran picked the top drawer. Nothing. He proceeded to pick the middle of the three drawers. Nothing but a book on “Orlesian Invaders and Fereldan Defenders”.” Hmmm” Zevran thought to himself, his mark did not seem the type to engage in a study of history he thought. Taking a peek in one of his eyebrows shot up very high. “Oh, my” escaped his lips, “this book is certainly something that cant be left out now is it”. Chuckling softly to himself he placed it into his pack and unlocked the final drawer. Nothing but a few misplaced socks stared at him mockingly. “Brosca” a very annoyed, yet quiet curse escaped from Zevran’s mouth.
Where could that amulet have gone Zevran thought? Him and his mark, some merchant named Pione had been exuberant he thought maybe it had fallen off the side or behind the side table. While checking around and beneath it he caused it so shift ever so slightly. This cause Pione to mumble and roll a bit in his sleep. Holding his breath Zevran prepared to flee, but instead of seeing his mark wake up he saw the amulet underneath him! Before he could react Pione was on top of it again and snoring in peace. Sadly the amulet was in the general area of where a person wore their belt, and under a very large amount of belly. A hairy belly thought Zevran again.” At least I know where it is now” he thought to himself.
At this point Zevran’s face was a mix between utter relief, and utter horror. Calming his breathing Zevran placed his hand on the bed, and prepared himself for what he had to do.
15 minutes later outside the merchants home in Rialto.
“So you got the amulet, Zevran?” Taliesin asked him.
“Yes, yes I did” Zevran replied. At the moment Zevran was holding the amulet out at arm’s length and seemed a little preoccupied.
“Trouble?” Taliesin asked his friend.
“A little, but here you go.” With that Zevran deposited the amulet in Taliesin’s hands and let out a relieved sigh. “Now if you can excuse me, I need to wash my hand.”
So thats my first prompt ever.
Hope you like it.

@Corker: I love the idea of a noble with enough wealth to pay for this contract for a spoiled child - ROFL. I'm sure Taliesin has plans for Zev in those boots....
@Giggles_Manicaly: I laughed so hard at Taliesin taking the amulet, not knowing.... Zev's theft of the book was a nice touch too. Fun entry.

Technical note: If anyone is able to tell what's amiss with Zev's face that he doesn't look exactly like himself please send me a PM or something, because it kinda bugs me but I can't figure it out.
@weekly prompt entries: awesome reading so far!
I love the prompt and have some vague idea, but I won't probably make it this week (no time) :/
