Yeah, it is quiet.

I've been playing probably too many games at once. I have three re-plays of Dragon Age going at the same time, one of my near-endless Icewind Dale II re-plays, and then I'm playing Arcanum, Mass Effect and Fallout for the first time. Fallout has pretty much fallen by the way-side for now.

With Dragon Age (and on-topic for the thread!), I'm discovering that I lucked out with my first character going for the Zevran romance. My current characters are doing no romance at all, Alistair, and Leliana, and while I like both of them as characters I'm finding their romances too... I don't know. Sappy right off the  bat, I guess is the only way I can think to describe it? I'm apparently still as picky and odd about these things as I have been in the past. It's possible I'd like the Morrigan one as well, I suppose, but I haven't gotten around to it yet as the rest of my characters thus far have been female.

With Mass Effect, I'm developing a deep-rooted loathing of the dialogue wheel. The voice just happened to mostly fit my character, so it isn't quite as grating as I thought it would be (though still annoying), but the wheel... I've just decided the character is completely insane, since sometimes her words end up being completely different from intended. Ah well.

I feel like I should add some art or a screenshot in here after all the rambling, but I don't think I have any handy...

May I present fellow Camp Zevran fans my dear friend's ficcie :Winter Sunlight

She did it for the birthday contest I held on my dA site. She haven't do many Dragon Age ficcies yet. Most of her ficcie over at Fanfiction.net are about other BioWare games: BG, HotU. So I am very touched she actually wrote this for me.

It featured my PC, Neph and our favourite assassin.

Just want to share it with you guys, because I loved it to bits!

and I'm agree, now for me it's definitive. So much disappointements from Bioware/EA/or who else, so they can keep their DA2 deeply in the arse.

 Ahahahaha, ok, new rant!  Of course, I'm WAY behind here, this came out over the summer.  The Zevran t-shirt.  This to me is a HUGE WTF?  Is it trying to say, "I killed Zevran"?  I is one thing, but there's a dagger going right through it.  I think I'll pass on this one, and I would be really tempted to buy it just to say, "Bioware, we WILL buy Zevran stuff."  But it seems this one is designed for fans NOT to buy.  To prove that Zevran isn't profitable?

OK, I'm sure I'm overreacting.  But GAH!  The last thing I want to do is stick a dagger, pixelated or not, through Zevran's heart!

Edit: *grin* This is pretty tongue in cheek, I hope that's apparent.

Ha! I'd be tempted to buy it if I could. It's a very Zevran take on the "I NY" type thing.

...Am working on a Zev art. Because words are made of faaaaailure for me this morning.

Nothing is solidified in the lines yet, and since I always start off with neutral expression and no set eye-direction he kind of looks... drugged? Oh dear. He'll be smirking at the camera when it's done, though.

And the fingers I just sort of scribbled in based off the reference photo are probably going to get redone completely.

Using a reference for the pose (potential NSFW warning -- bare naked real-dude butt). Probably going to aim for something like the model's expression there too.

No idea what I'll do about his tattoos. I'll try to doodle some in just so they're there, but this isn't exactly the best pose for working out markings. XD

Picture has no name yet. If I can pull off smearing him in mud I'm going to name it "Dirty Blond" though. XD (Hell, I may name it that anyway.)

Thanks~ ^^ I'm not following the reference completely (slightly different angle, etc), so I'm glad it looks alright so far~ I've been tweaking his musculature, too. That model is skinnier than Zev, even though he's an elf.

I slapped some base color on him in the same link. :3

( Anyone who isn't familiar with MS Paint stuff and is scratching their heads... the link in my sig goes to my other Zevran arts. >.> Paint looks pretty weird in progress. )

Candlelight: not as easy as you think as a light source. Also yes, I am aware I am a softie considering the subject matter. Even Missa has her moments of letting her guard down!

I'll drop an update on my WIP too, while I'm here. 07hrs30mins with bare Zevran buttcheek warning if that sort of thing would get you into trouble at work.

Drew him some tats, keeping his face tattoo in mind as I did so, shifted his expression out of neutral, and started shading his face. I still need to fix/re-draw that hand against his head, but this seems to be this picture's "elbowpad" and I'll probably put it off until the picture is over half done. XD There's always something in my WIPs.

The t-shirt... well, I'm frankly not the sort of person who'd buy an 'I  *insert here*' shirt at all, so I'm probably not best qualified to comment on it. Still, considering the dragon one with Alistair, I think it's more of a 'what can we put here instead of a heart? Oh, I know - he's an assassin so a heart being stabbed' kind of thing than a 'let's subtly imply everyone hates him' thing. At least, that's my impression.
At least it's black instead of pastel coloured, right? Step in the right direction there? (The Shale one is more the right idea, in my opinion. It has an image and everything.) 

@Aroihkin - That's looking great so far! The hand is certainly better than I could do, but I can see that it has some problems. The rest looks really good, though.

@soignee - You're always very good with the mood in your art, from what I've seen, and this is no exception. I wouldn't've thought candlelight to be easy (maybe because I'm generally slightly intimidated by lighting still), but I think it looks good!
