Well, it is how he was raised!  (beware, incoming squee which you already know) If you dig a little, you find out it was happening since he was a child, and it was further reinforced in the Crows (survival for sure) and may even refer to all of that as "old scars."  You may even get him to admit that there is NOTHING glorious about being a crow, and the only reason he had sex with everyone he could was to keep it at least slightly interesting.

As far as him being flirty and such -- of course, it's part of who he is.  But there is another part, far more hidden, that talks about sex as being the least of his regrets.  He is a charmer for sure, but that is not all he is; not by a long shot!  I get the feeling the over-the-top flirting is probably somewhat expected in Antiva as well.

I second all the above.  And then there was the use of flirting and sex talk as a cover for his true intentions... like harassing the companions and chalenging Leliana's hypocritical way of trying to hide who she is and pretend to be rightious and inocent. 

Pious:
1. having or showing a dutiful spirit of reverence for god or an earnest wish to fulfill religious obligations.

2. characterized by a hypocritical concern with virtue or religious devotion; sanctimonious.

3. practiced or used in the name of real or pretended religious motives, or for some ostensibly good object; falsely earnest or sincere: a pious deception.

4. of or pertaining to religious devotion; sacred rather than secular: pious literature.

5. having or showing appropriate respect or regard for parents or others.

Seems like different definitions suit different characters from the game.  We all know who #2 fits.  XD  (even if she claims not to be religious!)

Leliana bashing? You mean when people were mentioning Leliana's in-game banter with Zevran where he confronts her on being a bard? I'm not sure any bashing was going on unless you think Zevran himself was doing it.

There WAS a tiny tiny bit of Wynne bashing in there (yay ES! for Wynne bashing), but I don't think I was bashing Leliana. I love that banter between them, where she says they're a lot a like and he won't agree until she says she at least tried to give her marks a clean death.

Actually, I find the conversation interesting as he refers to his marks as "it." Kind of chilling, actually. And Leliana is talking about how she really does enjoy the hunt, though not the killing, though she killed, and would give a clean kill whenever it was possible.

But listening to them both refer to the hunt... yeh, scary conversation.

Oh, but I was saying that Zevran is devout in his own way, so the Pious armor is not ironic on him

Edit: I'd post a toolset screenie of Zevran and Leliana kissing, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the backlash with that one!

I guess if Leli being similar to Zev is an insult, you could take it that way... but you're really in the wrong thread if so.

You know, I just don't see Leliana, hardened or not, with Zevran, despite the very obvious attraction. They both have such serious issues with trust. But not only that, they cope so differently -- it would be hard for two broken people to break down those barriers. Now Zevran and Morrigan, yeh, I can see them actually having something wild for awhile. Leliana and Alistair, again I can see something very saccharine happening, but not that enduring (she'd never ever harden him, and he would never harden her, so when the king thing came up, they'd dump each other).

It might be because I am biased, but I personally do not think Morrigan would go for Zevran.
Firstly, she is not amused by his blunt approaches, because she would probably see in him the typical man who thinks with his reproductive organ and who thinks all women find him attractive. In other words, she knows Zevran's game and Morrigan is pretty clearly pissed when someone cheats on her or makes her have to share (unless he is in love, that's what Zevran is, no?).
 
Secondly, when bantering with Leliana, she mentions the passion and respect of equals. Regardless if you agree with her or not, I do not think Morrigan will regard Zevran as an equal (she'll probably see him as one who gave  up his freedom to the Crows first and the Warden second). It seems to me that other than the Warden, she holds no one as an equal. Again, not arguing if she is right or not, that's not the point.

So I don't see it.
