I don't think that it was the caste system in and of itself that Oghren hated and he longed for a freer society, he's just sick of being a laughingstock for having his entire house go off to get themselves killed and he wasn't allowed to go and then he wasn't allowed to even carry weapons anymore and did nothing but drink. Had Branka been a human noble and Oghren married up and then she took everyone in the castle off to go into the Deep Roads and left him behind, I would imagine he'd face the same kind of humiliation and scorn, especially with his alcoholism and extreme and sometimes violent sensitivity about Branka.Ohgren... Well, we all know how screwed up the traditional Dwarven caste system is. He seems to be happier once he embraces the social freedom of being a topsider.

I never pegged the Dwarf commoner as being super young maybe about twenty, though Sigrun honestly didn't seem that old either..honestly I'm surprised they didn't know each other from back in their carta days. Honestly I always thought the City Elf was probably on the younger end being about nineteen. With Dwarf Noble being the oldest at around twenty six.
I have a couple of reasons for having the CE at 20. One is, like I said, they're older than Shiani and Shiani has to be at least 18 for political correctness reasons.
The other, though, is toolset (and I KNOW toolset ages are not always correct). All the elves getting married are supposed to be 20. It just makes sense that 20 is the marrying age. Especially since Shianni is listed as 18, so it's not a generic, "make them sound like they're 20."
Dwarf Casteless is how much younger than Rica? I pictured maybe 5 years as that is enough of a spread that she actually COULD be the one raising the DC and taking care of her yet close enough in age where she doesn't actually become maternal. But Rica has to be fairly young as well as a noble hunter (as opposed to a plain prostitute). So 22 or 23, which would put the DC at 17-18.
Toolset would put the DN at about 23. Trian is put as 25 and Bhelen at 21, though again, toolset is not really very accurate when it comes to age. But they are, at least in the toolset, the oldest of the origins.
But this is pure RP'ing. Your warden is the age you want them to be

It probably would have been easier to say I do not subscribe to the JK Rowling School of Wizardry, as it might be paralleled in Ferelden, if only because I hope by the time I graduate, I'm not still using the exact same spells I used in Year One (alohomora!)

I think the mage Warden should probably be younger than Jowan because if they aren't then Jowan's freak-out that you get to take your Harrowing already and he doesn't seems rather odd, even if he did get to the Tower before you.
Except that's the specific reason he uses. "I've been here longer than you have... Sometimes I think they just don't want to test me." which seems to imply time spent rather than age. So if I was (using a round number) 20 and had been in the Tower since I was 15, and Jowan was 20 and had been in the Tower since he was 11, he's had 4 more years of learning than the pre-Warden, and thus stems his angst.

Rica: 22. Kind, idealistic sister of the dwarf commoner PC. She loves the PC and wants to make a better life for him. Is willing to prostitute herself to do so, but still hopes to find love... which she does with Bhelen. Devoted to Bhelen once she's his concubine, and deleriously happy about her newborn son.
Jowan: 20. Jowan has been a Circle apprentice for longer than the PC has, but the PC proved a better mage and Jowan feels a little left behind. He has a bit of an inferiority complex, and both admires and resents the PC. He dabbled with blood magic in an attempt to improve his skills. He is in love with Chantry initiate, Lily.

I think the game pretty much tells you you were there since you were a small child and there's only so late that could put the age of arrival before its unrealistic for you not to really remember life outside of the Tower and if you're older than Jowan I still think it's odd. If you're 24 and he's 20 then it doesn't matter if he got there two years before you did because your age is an easy way to explain away why you're better instead of giving him a complex.Sresla wrote...

I finished my Mage run who romanced Zevran last night. I really liked it, even though I did a re-save to hear what he says when you dont take him. That was very well delivered and I am glad I actually took him.

I absolutely freaking love this ending slide, since my mage became Anora's chancellor. Also it seems that the two of them do become fairly close in the end. I can almost imagine them becoming friends after a few years.

I really hate how the Awakening slide messes with this ending.
Finally now that I have gone through the Zevran Romance and listened to all the lines (thanks for all the mods!) I just have this to say.
It ties the Leliana romance as my favorite
Sad that I have so many more runs to finish that wont romance Zevran before DA2. I am really tempted to do it one last time though now.

There seems to be many lines with companions that indicate the Warden knows that they wont be coming back.Corker wrote...
Oh, he is *such* a sad panda if you leave him at the gates. My Tabris felt really awful when she did that... but the worst had to be my Brosca, who took him and got his spirited 'to the end, as it should be!' speech, knowing that she was going to die killing the Archdemon. Owie.
Glad that Loghain died this time.
I laughed at how people start to think his statue is watching the Orlesian embassy.

That would be because it totally IS.
The Orlesians hatch an evil plot.
Then Loghain's statue falls over and squishes them while they are near the statue.

I will suggest to you to take out Ending Slideshow Dialog fix (or whatever it is called -- that is not the vanilla card) and try the gates dialog with ZDF or gatekiss installed. Seriously. His gates dialog is bugged, and the mod you use doesn't fix it. And his dialog there, when you take him, is incredible. OR! You can just watch it here!
Edit: This is an awful bug, his "friendly" dialog going to in love wardens, and wardens who are friendly getting his "warm" dialog. What you say is supposed to go to Friendly wardens. /cry.
Second edit: I will admit, that slide IS better than the vanilla slide.
Third edit: *grin* I"m assuming you did not use ZDF's party_events.dlg as you are using ES whatever (gah). I could be wrong. I think I'll shut up now

I compare him most of all with Antonio Banderas, a charmer, a good fighter and most of all a bad ass all in one.
P.S. You finished the Witcher Ejoslin?

@Ejoslin: What do you mean his dialogue is bugged? I always get the "cruel to the end" response, after saying I love you. Is that not supposed to happen?
Oh man...

No, the dialog if you leave him is correct (except you shouldn't be seeing the, "not this time, my friend" if he's in love). It's the dialog if you take him that is bugged. If you can't tell him you love him when taking him, you're getting the wrong dialog. It's in the link I have in my other post.
Costin, no I never did finish the Witcher. I do need to take it up again. I'll probably start from the beginning, it's been THAT long
Edit: In case you're wondering, if you take him and tell him you love him, it he answers, "Yes, yes, I know that." while he ducks his head. VO notes say that he loves the warden but can't say the words. I find it incredibly sweet. Actually, all his dialog there if you take him, gah... some of his best, most loving moments in the game, and bugged :/
Second edit: That is very definitely a modded slide. I don't mod slides -- only one mod does that (and is incompatible with my mod).

It's why I started modding. When I read the gates dialog, I literally came here to the Zevran thread and started nerdraging all over the place. I think I had the first version of ZDF, my very first mod ever, up within an hour. I was pissed. ZDF evolved from thereKornichon wrote...

Both Zevran, and Morrigan have really good dialog if you don't take them with you but tell them you love them.
Morrigan's is also bugged -- it's better if it's fixed if you leave her.
