I think romancing Alistair then sparing Loghain and doing the Ultimate Sacrifice is the worst outcome for the poor lad if not the biggest betrayal. He loves you but leaves when you disagree about Loghain and then he isn't there to help you in the fight against the archdemon where you die. Blaming himself for that should come naturally to him given how dealt with Duncan dieing and feelt responsible for that. I suspect Alistair is a less than happy drunk in this scenario.

I tried it, playing a character with a strong aversion to killing. She spared everyone, even Marjolaine and Caladrius, so Alistair should have been prepared for her not killing Loghain but of course he was not and left. The slide is the same as any drunken Alistair. No mention of lost love or regrets. Examining the save file I concluded that the romance and the love flag was deactivated after the Landsmeet and the only thing left of our once great love is the rose he gave me. Tis sad.

edit: Added picture of Alistair leaving. Dog is upset. He is barking. Solona is sad and still hoping Alistair will change his mind. Alistair is apathetic and has a hard time putting one foot infront of the other.

Hehe, wouldn't have done it had you not insisted on it   I had fun though.   Good learning experience.  At least now I know what not to do such as putting everything in one layer  *faceplam*

I think the worst thing I've done to Alistair is kill Connor/Isolde, lol.
Oh, actually, it was sparing Loghain. But that character was a extreme paladin one, never wants to kill anyone if he gets the chance.

I have done an run that Alistair would hate.

Killed people left and right.

Killed Isolde and sold Conner to the demon. For hot demon sex no less.

Pretty much did terrible things left and right.



Then executed him at the landsmeet.

Everd was special.

Poor Alistair was so used by him as was everyone else. He did VWB Wynne though.

I can empathize with the one-layer mistake, Cebo, only mine was in photo editing. Doesn't really matter what medium, the result is the same. I don't intend to repeat that mistake again

I'll keep that in mind if I ever do a ToP again. In the meantime should I edit your picture in to the top of the page? People might think your Warden is the one responsible for Alistair's misfortune.

This is one of the reason's why I have never allowed Loghain to live. As much as I like Loghain (especially in the books; he was so hot), I can't swap the man who has been by my side the whole game in exchange for a man who has done such terrible things. Yeah, he saved the country 30 years ago, but, Alistair's working with you during this disaster. I am all for the Gaider rant against the Alsitair haters.

No, I hate it when one of the characters gets set on fire. But when they fall. Hilarious. Leli just wants a piece of the action. From both Alistair and Lana. Yummy!!!

Yeah, the slip and fall is amusing. Especially when its Oghren and you have him in full plate.



Unfortunately for Leli, Lana isn't into girls like that and certainly isn't going to encourage Alistair towards that either.

I know I told her all the dirty details in my playthrough. His reaction is priceless. I also like his reaction to the whole threesome thing with Isabella. That was something I was sure he was going to refuse, but, he went through with it; hardened of course( pun intended). I kind of like the idea of him being naughty like that. I'm surprised no one has some up for a mod threesome scene. It is also funny how when the games starts he is this inncoent little virgin, but, by the end of the game, it is possible for him to have bedded three women. Geez Al.

It was very much "None of your damn business".

Though the conversation while exploring and Alistair in the party is pretty funny (I engaged in it that way by accident once), my conversation choices boil down to my initial reaction.

SweetPetunia - It all depends on how you do things with him. I prefer not to have him get, hm, jaded I guess.

And believe me if there was an alternative to the DR that would let them live, I would take it. But as in RL, you have to sacrifice for what you want sometimes.
