It's definitely longer with Zevran in the party, because Fraps will cut out on me if conversations go too long and I recall having to leave Zevran behind in order to get everything into one video.

I use a compression program.  Why can't I think of the name... might be the migraine.    I'll think of it.

I think they do it to please the warden, not because it's something they necessarily want to do. Doesn't mean that Alistair doesn't find the idea intriguing, obviously, but he wouldn't actually do it unless the warden asked him to. In my opinion, anyway. Same goes for Leliana, except I don't think it's as much of an intriguing/shocking notion.
