Hahaha, Giggles.xD
Maybe she has learned the more subtle way to hate until then. Okay...Lenya and subtle doesn't fit in most of the cases, but I can picture her sweet smiling and nodding at Eamon after his "Alistair must fulfill his duty and become KING" speeches she hates, while picturing the thousand ways to slice him into million little pieces in her mind. Then she will wave him goodbye, calmly turn and leave his study and visit Alistair's room nearby -- to have the loudest sex possible. Just to spite Eamon XD

I so need to write this scene down

ToP. Bad-ass elf:

From what I've read of Lenya, Meri, she doesn't strike me as being subtle when she wants to get at someone. ;)

My list of hated characters in DA:O

Eamon - what he did to Alistair was inexcusable and then to just turn around so he could benefit is utterly disgraceful

Isolde - A few four letter words could describe her screechy arse, and that's all I'm going to say

Cailan - He's a fool. No person, king or commoner, should ever hope for a war and glorious battle. Those "battles like the ones in the tales" lasted hundreds of years, nearly destroyed the dwarven people, blighted the lands, and was truly the most tortuous time Thedas faced. AND HE WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN HE THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A LARGE RAID!!!

I don't really hate Cailan.  I think he was a pathetic, spoiled idiot, and I have no respect for him.  But I'm reserving my hatred for the evil people who intentionally hurt my warden and those she cares about.   Like Howe!  I do hate him.  And even though I (the player) am fascinated by Loghain, my wardens all hate him.  And I guess I hate Isolde and Eamon.  They knew what they were doing, and they didn't really care who they were hurting.   Oh, and I hate that slaver.  I can't remember his name now, but he's on my list.

edited because I forgot to finish a thought.

Caladrius? I didn't really give him much thought.

I didn't hate Cailan, I actually pitied him. The people who were supposed to raise him to be king, completely and utterly failed him.

Caladrius.  Yeah.  He's the one who wanted to kill all the elves to give me a little health boost.  And I came close to hating Morrigan during that scene.  :?

Giggles - I can imagine.

I can't hate Bhelen - I respect him for playing a game of political intrigue that effectively.

I can't hate Loghain - I agree, he's completely fascinating and while his paranoia nearly destroyed Ferelden, he's mad and is pitiable.

I agree on hating the slaver

But Cailan.. from the minute I met him in my first playthrough, he bugged me. He's a prancing fool who has no business waging war. I read in a FF where they win that battle at Ostagar and they're not betrayed by Loghain (though the Darkspawn were specifically targeting the Grey Wardens so only Alistair and the PC lived again) and there's a huge holding action at Ostagar while they go to get the treaties and Cailan gets injured because, to quote "He raised his sword like he was posing for a statue and got shot." And I went "Yep, I can see him doing that."

Can't say I hate Cailan either. I only thougth he was a misguided fool.

Like tupp, I reserve my hate to those who are downright evil...and count the crazy ones as well.... and those with bad accents.

Heh, not sure about that. Although she wants to appear that she don't care, she is very emotional ...especially about people she cares for...or hates. So often it is RAAAAWR, SLICE SLICE, TALK LATER when hating someone.  But then again has she moments where she sweetly smiles at Harrowmont and calmly tells him that she wants weapon and armor for all of her companions and herself because otherwise she won't go into the DR.

Snippet from chapter 29

[...]"I'm most glad to hear that, Warden. And be certain that I will do my best to ensure that you have all the equipment needed to secure the success of this dangerous mission."

"Good," Lenya breathed, bringing forth a long piece of parchment. "This brings me to my conditions."

"C-conditions?" Harrowmont repeated and blinked, rather confused.

Oh Lenya. Typical. Alistair had to suppress a grin. Somehow he had surmised that there was a catch to her sudden willingness.

The Dalish let out a small sound of annoyance, drumming her fingers against the paper. "Yeeees, coooonditiiiions," she echoed slowly, as if he was dumb. "I'm the one going down there in this darkspawn invested ****-hole, while you are sitting with your ass in your nice, cozy study. You are waiting for me to do the dirty work you and your men are too stupid to do, so that you can become king in the end." Lenya closed her speech with a sweet smile, peering innocently at the flabbergasted dwarf.

Behind the elf, Morrigan burst into a laughter. As Leliana threw her an irritated glance for that, the witch only shrugged. "What? 'Tis true, after all."

"So now It is blackmailing midgets rather than the other way around? Fun," Shale stated and added after a second more excitedly. "Do we crush its head if It not agrees to it?"

"No!" Alistair exclaimed and all pair of eyes darted to him. He cleared his throat. "I mean we neither blackmail someone, nor do we crush their heads."

"Boring clown-knight," Shale grumbled and turned to leave for the main hall. For the golem the discussion was over, since Alistair killed all the entertaining possibilities.

"I must advise you to rethink your tone in front of me, Warden," the dwarven lord exhorted her after overcoming his state of shock.

"I can't remember being impolite, Harrowmont. I was just stating the obvious," Lenya replied calmly. "You want me to go down into the Deep Roads to find your paragon to support you for the throne. One that is most likely dead by now. So the least thing I can expect then, is that you are fulfilling my conditions for our support."

Alistair watched the scene with a mixture of fascination and horror. Maker, that woman was even scarier when she was all composed...and logical. [...]

Though I admit...those moments are rather rare, lol. But she is young, all but dumb... and still learning. :P

I think she wanted me to accept the offer that Caladrius made.  Yes, let's kill all those helpless elves who never did anything to us so we can be more powerful.

Wow, I was always under the impression that Morrigan didn't like blood magic, so I'm surprised she was for it.

On a side note - who here is experienced in building Rogues? I played a Rogue once and never finished the playthrough, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Morrigan: A fine starting offer
She later dissaproves -5 on not killing the elves in the ritual.

I like what Zevran has to say though:
I suggest you look those elves in the eye before selling them into slavery.

Cailan is rather glorious in is own particular idiom.  Image IPB

As Anora points out, he was just in the wrong job.  Too bad he wasn't able to live life on his own terms, or at least to find the same sort of balance with Loghain that his dad did.

He should have run off to Orlais and become a wandering playright.

Would have done the entire country a favor.

Ah, what a shame.  As much as I do not respect Cailan, yes he could have been glorious.  He's a good example of what happens when someone is spoiled rotten, given no guidance and a lot of power.  I wonder how Alistair would have turned out if he had been raised alongside Cailan?
