lol, my local gamestop isn't like that. Everyone there is really relaxed and while they'll ask if you need anything when you walk in, I don't think I've ever been asked if I want to buy x number of game. For awhile, every time our group of friends went in, the guys behind the counter were like "Hey, here to pre-order <insert game?" Us: "Yup!"

Giggles - It's even worse when you're a female going in to pre-order something like a WoW expansion.

You'd think with how many women are getting into game the guys wouldn't make such idiotic remarks.

Lol. right.I love the creepy stares I get for being a woman and standing at the shelf with the XBox games.

But I for myself only order my games (which are mostly for XBox anyway) online anymore, because it saves me a sh*tload of money. Honestly games are soooo expensive if you buy them at Gamestop and co. Ugh, no thanks keep it, gamestop. I rather pay the HALF of the full prize and get the SAME new game, thank you. >__>

Meri - A friend of mine introduced me to Direct2Drive for my PC games (no console here, my computer sucks up enough money ) which is great, because unlike Steam, I don't have to have anything else enabled to play my games.

I seriously hope not. I do hope Bioware does not become another company eager to trash old, well loved games and their fan sites for new releases, even when old releases are still popular.

I can;t say I'm really that excited myself about DA2, what I've seen so far. Certainly not the interest origins generated pre-release. The setting in the Free Marches certainly excites me more than Ferelden did (mainly because the Free Marches exist in a loose, near anarchist federation). But other than that, I don't see anything that really reaches out and grabs me like origins did. Most of the companions are pretty meh, from what little I've seen (Fenris seems like a Zevran clone), and alot of the focus so far has been on things I feel are unecessary or even worse than the original.

But I shall wait and see, though i will not pre-order (still pissed off about the shoddy speed release of awakenings and its bugs, several of which STILL remain unfixed). I really do hope that DA2 turns out to be epic, and that Bioware is simply focusing on releasing sneak peeks geared at a more general audience, keeping the actual epic stuff under wraps until the game is released.

If not, well...no matter. I still am waiting on some mods for my canon playthroughs before I start them, as well as a few other playthroughs non-canon.

My sister though takes it too far.
She thinks only indy games are worth looking at and wont even look at the main shelf products. She is getting better though and does play some.
She got exposed to my tastes though when I was angry at EA and other companies for their buggy products.

I don't think so either. Alistair is such a one-of-a-kind character that even though I'll play DA II, I'll still fire up DA:O and go through it again just to be a part of his goofiness, awkwardness, roses and swooping kisses.

Besides, hopefully by that time there'll be a royal wedding mod available for HNM's (hint, hint, hint, hint)

Hmm dunno about online services...I haven't even warmed up with Steam yet, I have tried it but mostly I get the games cheaper if I buy them on disc. Just now I have ordered a crapload of Point and click adventures ("Ceville", "A Vampyre story", "The book of unwritten tales" and "So blonde" for under 20 Euros) which I don't get at Steam at all or for that price.

I love to have a PC now that is able to handle those humorous, cartoon adventures in style of Monkey Island, I so love to play. For the rest I have my console.

So it's a win/win situation here.

I hate going to Gamestop.  I'm old enough now that they assume I must be shopping for my kid, and they always talk to me like I don't know anything about games.  


I've been staying away from the DA2 topics.  Too much craziness over there!  The only reason I'm looking forward to the game is to see how our current games affect that world and to see if any of my favorite DA:O characters make cameo appearances.  I'm really hoping to see more of Nathaniel.  Maybe I'll love it once I start playing it.  I definitely pre-ordered it.  If I don't like it, I'll take the loss.  But there's no way I'm not going to check it out.

I think if they do close down this topic, we should form a group.  But I kinda doubt that they'd close it.  It's still too popular.  I know I'm not alone in still having a bunch of playthroughs that I want to finish.

I still want to do:

- Replay of my canon Cousland Brin, ending in royal wedding.
- Finish my male Cousland and play him through Awakening, because I want to see Loghain's cameo (Drunkenstair)
- Female Surana & Alistair leaving to rebuild the wardens.
- Female Tabris, ending in Zev wedding.
- Female Amell & Jowan playthrough.
- Female Aeducan & Gorim playthrough
- Female Cousland & Teagan playthrough

I think I'll be here long after DA2 is released!

It's partially because of Karmas' new mod.  She's doubled my planned playthroughs.

It kept weirding me out a bit:

Oh yeah Amera has a shapely tush, and those funny bumps that guys like. I am just the weird voice in her mind telling her what to do.



It seems everytime I look at Alistair he is staring at Amera. He will have to work for it though.
