Wait, he doesn't normally do the head exploding convo if you wait? Maggie got that line, and replied she felt the same way.

Yeah, he does. I usually go for the "Oh thanks a lot" line, because his reaction to that is amusing.

@Tupp - Was it you (forgive me for being too lazy to go digging back through the thread) that got Alistair's exploding head dialog after you'd already invited him to your tent?
Celea got that delightful scene this afternoon. I have to say, having never had a Warden take the initiative in tent time before, I regret having missed out on so much good dialog for the past year. You just get a double dose of goodness from him since he's full of delicious lines when you ask him (assuming he's at adore, that is) and then you get the "normal" sweating scene with him once he reaches Love.
I'm sooooooooo doing this again with future Wardens. I think it will quite a few playthroughs to get tired of this:

Somehow I can actually hear Marlana saying that line.

I love DA for the exact reasons the common masses hate it. It's a story-driven game that puts your character in the center of it all. As you progress, your decisions affect everyone (and everything!) around you. Best of all, the game begs for replays rather than most of the "one and done" titles out there.
Let those who don't "get it" continue to do so. I think of DA as an acquired taste and I, for one, am extremely happy that I acquired it.

Working with kids, I have to offer the opinion that the lack of imagination in the current generation is troubling. Some of my best gaming moments have come from paper and pencil D&D sessions and it's sad that for some reason RP like that (and in DA) has been stymatized. And I see so many kids who are simply incapable of playing a game like that. I don't know why, either, because kids who should have awesome imaginations don't. And so many adults (and god don't even get me started with my coworkers *rages and flails*) cannot understand what makes games like appealing.

I realize I'm rambling a bit. Sorry.

I have a co-worker who rolled her eyes at me when I eagerly mentioned DAO and in her patronizing tone asked, "aren't you a little too old for games? That's a little silly don't you think?" To my immediate response, "well, I can say the same thing about your obssession with Edward Cullen."

When I was in my mid-twenties I still had a fairly extensive board game collection. One day my dad said something to the effect of "aren't you a little old to still be playing games?"
I looked at him and said, "Would you prefer I be out all night, smoking, drinking and sleeping around?"
The subject was never brought up again. Can't imagine why.

I'm in my mid 30's, had a coworker who is around my age that obsesses over that series and tried to get me to read because she knows I like sci-fi and fantasy. Um, yeah, decently written sci-fi and fantasy. That kind of stuff would've made me turn up my nose when I was in my teens.
