Problem is I have no characters through Awakening and can't bring myself to play one through

I played through awakening recently, although it's not with my male character who was in a Morrigan romance..bleh. I usually play just enough to get the Alistair visit, then I"m done.

Lol yeah...after Zombistair I was sort of turned off. Haven't played since.

I imported Idun this week just to test something, got a little flimmery when I heard the regal music start, then saw Anra and remembered it was a Zombistair run.  Maker, what a letdown.  Edit: And there's no way I'd make it through an entire Awakening run on a Zombistair game.  Idun and Alistair are on a beach in Rivain somewhere, with sippy drinks.

He's wherever Dog was in Awakening.  The Island of Unwanted NPCs.  (unwanted by the devs, that is)

Ohhh, Morrigan sounds pretty wicked in that trailer.

I am guessing that since the Morrigan we all got in the DR pitch was neutral/ evil, that's the default on this DLC as well.  I hope for the sake of the Morri romancers that there is a softer side we're not seeing if the PC was in a romance with her.

 This looks like the most potentially interesting DLC since RtO. I just hope that it's better realized and doesn't ignore all the opportunities for emotional depth as RtO did. It would be more interesting if the father in my games could be there, but c'est la vie. I'm hoping that the toolset announcement upcoming will be that they're opening all the DLC/Awakening for modding, which would give an opportunity to expand the stories to what would be more fulfilling for all characters.

Morrigan's story may be far murkier than I'd figured.

Okay, discussions today included shock at a dressed Landsmeet, Morrigan/romance interest, having to do awakenings, so here's a naked landsmeet with a cousland morrigan romance interest, who is going to have to leave his Gwarran Teyrnir and venture off into awakening...

(oh, and who took Zev up on his tattoo offer...bathing and massage included)

He's got a warden tattoo on his face, although he had to have his whole body bathed and massaged. He got massages from Dairren, Leliana, Zev, Morrigan, and kissed everyone in sight...he was very easy ,and fun to play

I must admit I'm one of those who doesn't like to change characters' looks. To me, they are what they are.

Actually up close he's not that much like Cailan, since he has an upper lip. Cailan and even regular Alistair have a very thin upper lip. I just don't really like Cailan's or 'real' Alistair's mouth as much as this morph. Just my personal preference, of course

Huh? I got lots of emotion out of  RtO. Who did you take with you when you went? I took Alistair, Wynne and Dog (all those who were there the first time) and it was very poignant, I almost needed a tissue. Even Dog got his little emotional 2 cents in. The conversations between Wynne and Alistair were particularly touching.

I usually take Loggy and Wynne, and end up wanting to tell Wynne to shut up and stop nagging him.

It's not much better if you take Alistair and have the old baggage make that utterly gross comment to him after you kill the ogre.

It would've been really interesting to take Loggy and Alistair together, but unfortunately it's not possible. (I suspect it might've resulted in a fight, too, lol).

And some hilarious, too...Wynne and her 'younger man in my bed' had Alistair just about swallowing his tongue in horror.

Not a fan of the long hair on Alistair either. It's ok on other characters but just doesn't suit him IMO. I also have issues with the facial hair mods on Alistair, even though I like many of those facial hairstyles on men in real life (and on other characters). I don't know. Could be that I'm just too set in my ways, but to me Alistair isn't Alistair unless he's clean-shaven and has that silly cowlick.

Maybe a shorter hairstyle would work, like Malcolm's or something more military --something he might have received in the Chantry and gotten used to? Hmm. . .
