I'm a Dalish nerd. Has anyone here an idea what that frikkin design of Merril means to me? I feel the need to kick kittens and puppies just to loose some of the raaaaaaage I'm feeling.THIS IS NOT CUTE. Ugh. I guess this pic describes my feelings somewhat accurately.

Not gonna let myself get upset about DA2 yet and ruin the fun I'm having right now with DA:O.  There's plenty of time to get upset next March.  I knew I shouldn't have watched that video.

I guess we have to hope that Merrill falls within the Isabela 'Look, she barely appeared at all in DA so we can make a completely different character with the same name and backstory if we want' viewpoint and that they keep their promise not to do so with characters with more screentime.

I've played the game too much, I know all of the highest approval getting dialogue options by heart. I just left Lothering and already was asked to warm a tent and "unlocked" 2 specializations.

Which is one thing I dont mind DA2 fixing.

I'm not sure I like apparently not being able to make everyone like me, though. I mean, I just know that whoever I get a rivalry with will end up being my favorite companion.

After playing my dice run with Randi, I have a much greater disdain for the approval system. Some lines are down right delightful to say (and hear the replies) but they usually wind up netting negative approval. So if DA2 allows us to use some of the more witty replies without fear of approval loss, that will be great!

What would Lenya do if she saw Merill walk up to her like she is in DA2?

I know it's likely that what we're seeing now is actually what we'll end up with.  But I'll wait until then to get upset about it, if I hate it.  Well, actually, I probably won't.  I'll just go back to playing DA:O and look at this.  

Sigh. If Alistair is supposed to be the spitting image of Maric, then I can see why he made all those women swoon. From what I have seen with the LI's in Dragon Age 2, I am also not that impressed. I almost don't wanna know what a love making scene with an elf is gonna look like if it is gonna look like that girl. i think I'll also keep this image in mind if everyone looks like Sh*t ran over twice.

Lol, most likely she would mistake "it" for another new sort of darkspawn (she had been through Awakening at that point), look at Alistair aside her and burst into hysterical laughing together with him. Then before Meril had the chance to say anything she would behead this thing.

Or would mistaken her for another ghoul and relive the Tamlen nightmare. At any rate, Lenya would have a hard time to take elves seriously if they look like that, even if they are from her own clan...or better said especially then. And since she is bearing a major dislike toward Merill...well you can put one and one together, right?

Gawd I need to write a tiny, silly piece with that scene...since I unfortunately can't draw it. If I could it would be similar to this ...only with Lenya and Merill xD

At any rate, having Lenya laughing at Merill is going to be my personal therapy. Oh yes.
