I was forced to read the books by my sister (seriously, she's scary. You don't mess with her). At least they were easy reads and I read fast, so it wasn't as painful as it could've been. But it was like a train wreck and by the end of the last book, I was just in shock at how...crazy... it'd gotten.



Anyway.



Alistair is awesome. And not in those books or those movies. And is all the more awesome for it.

I was forced to watch Twilight in a pop culture class. I got in trouble for standing up and interrupting the movie multiple times with cries of "Are you ****ting me? He sparkles!!" or "SPIDER MONKEY?! REALLY, THAT'S YOUR TERM OF ENDEARMENT?! YOU'RE CREEPY" or "Wow, if I had known that stalking the girl I liked was the way to get into her heart, I would have stared at her sleeping for so much longer than I did." "You ladies know that since he doesnt have a beating heart he will never ever be able to get it up for you." and finally "*impersonating Bella* I think I'm tortured but I'm just pretentious."

I've been lurking around for a few weeks (quite new to DA:O -- haven't even finished my first playthrough yet) but I've promised myself I'd get over my shyness and actually post, and confess to my ridiculous amount of love for Alistair. XD

Re: Twilight: Whenever the movies come out on DVD, my D&D group watches it with the Rifftrax (anybody know what I'm talking about?) playing over it. Makes them almost worth watching.

Aw, thanks for the welcome, guys! Like I said, I haven't been playing for long yet, so I've yet to create much fanart, but I'll keep that in mind for when I do. I'm a hardcore DBZ fan, and have been for about ten years, so it was super weird for me to wake up one day and realize that I was suddenly so enraptured with something not-DBZ that I couldn't even think about, let alone work on, my DBZ fanfic. >_> (I've gotten over it, more or less, but I think that once I've played more DA, I might have to try doing some fanfiction in this fandom.)

Thanks! Ah, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it. In any case, it's too late now! Heh. (That is to say, it was too late a week or two ago. Trust me, I don't have the self-control to stay away from a thread where all people talk about is Alistair.)

Bitenomnom, we all like Alistair in one way or another. For guys like me he is a brother even though my fav is Leliana. And there are Zevran and Morrigan lovers that come here too. Alistair just happens to be the glue that brings this whole group together,

And because I have not done this in a while, some Leliana love to share

Addai, I'll still hold judgement until I play the game, but for me Fenris is the morst boring of them all. I just don't see what his appeal is beyond Gaider writing him. Right now to me he reads like Loghain without the paranoia. Just my take of him. Maybe I'm missing something, but just don't see it yet. Maybe in the game he will be interesting, but right now boring.

I have little opinion on any NPC from DA2 outside of their looks.



Really we have heard like all of three lines from them and that is far too little to judge them yet. Gaider and CO. wrote Dragon Age and made it amazing.



I think that they can do it again.

Yes, my worries are about the graphic style, the dialogue wheel, and combat, not with the story or the characters as written. I just hope I can get past those things enough to enjoy the writing. Hmm... I need to put a picture of Alistair in here, but I can't make one with the scene I'm working on. Too spoilerific. I'll try and add one in a few minutes.
