Been browsing the forums today, trying to catch up on what I may have missed, but I continue to be in a limbo. I love chatting with the people in this thread, but I feel constrained by the fact that the focus is on Alistair. I want to talk about DA2 with you guys because it's not the same in the DA2 forum, but I'd risk getting this thread locked.

And I don't even know what to talk about in the DA2 forums because I have no idea what to look forward to. There's no real sense of continunity, no characters that are being carried over. Sure, we'll hear about our end choices in a narrative and see a few cameos, but still it's not really the same. I'm done with DAO -- the euphoria is gone and I no longer care about seeing Alistair, Zevran, or the other love interests because the book has closed so hard on the warden. In fact, this is why I'm wary of DA2. What if we get attached to Hawke's love interest and find ourselves in the exact same situation again, that there's no Hawke in DA3 and thus no more love interest to be excited about? =p

Man, I feel so displaced. At least March isn't that far off. Are we going to talk about Alistair's cameos in DA2 or is that something that people would prefer to be left in the DA2 forum instead? I remember the Alistair fan group making a separate group for Alistair in Awakening so others could remain unspoiled.

Pretty much I agree with Gilsa.



Dragon Age lost its sense of wonder for me and my last two playthroughs feel like chores.

I have seen everything, heard everything, and know EVERYTHING in the game.



I look forward to Dragon Age 2 very cautiously. EVERY review keeps saying ITS LIKE MASS EFFECT NOW. Yeah I just dont know.



I will do some last runs in my game and then just wait for DA2.

Gilsa, things got a little heated here from DA2 discussions, so I think everyone is avoiding the subject.  The ugly Merrill haters and the cute Merrill lovers kinda clashed.

I've been trying to avoid peeking too much at the DA2 forums because I want to be surprised.  I'm very nervous, but still excited about it.

Hi Gilsa, good to see you! We have no further word on Alistair @DA2. SV said it was <50 lines, so that's at best a cameo considering that they have to cover the different scenarios for him. Devs have hinted you will see him even as a drunk.



I think DA2 is shaping up interesting plot-wise. Dalish and mage-templar stuff, for instance. Information has been soooo sketchy, it's hard to really get excited about much of it. Meanwhile Bethesda is pouring out the info about Skyrim which is only coming out in November. It's a little frustrating. I guess they want us to be surprised.

Over in the Loghain thread, we talk about strategy games (mostly as a retaliation against all the smut the girls afflicted us with). So why not talk about DA2 here? It's not like DA:O has anything we can talk about anymore, other than apparently Bhelen now.

DA:O's gotten to feeling fresh and fun to me again with all the new mods coming out.  I'm really looking forward to the next chapter of Dark Times.  And I hear the Valeria mod is great.  And my Cullen-mage romance was <3<3

But I'm still cautiously looking forward to DA2.

Damn. I can't Quote Addai's post. Must be that Less Than mark. Addai, where did you hear that he has less than 50 lines? That's pretty disappointing.



Re: Loghain - I'm pretty happy that Zjarcal managed to cure me of my Loghain fixation yesterday. Rage, Schratty and Ceb have been taunting me with hawt Loghain pictures for too long now!

I'm still rather pissed that Witch Hunt was the last DLC/Expansion for Origins. Was supposed to be 2 years, I would have expected another expansion.



DA2 just ain't exciting me the way origins did pre-release. If it is good enough, I'll get it, but only after decent opinions are given.
