Well Mass Effect 2 only really screwed up Conrad Verner importing.
I dont know about DA2 right now.

Some stuff seems interesting but most of it seems like Bioware is going to forget anything in Origins.

In ME2, really none of the choices made a difference anyways.  Maybe they will in ME3, but probably not.

Oh I didn't know Bhelen was the default choice in Awakening.

I thought he was.  It's been a long time since I've seen it.  Can someone confirm for me?  I could be making stuff up.  :x

I actually think it's going to be nothing more than Mad Libs, in which they fill in the blanks with your choices. LOL, I'd honestly be surprised if the world is significantly changed by picking Bhelen or Harrowmont. The dwarven king didn't matter in Golems -- just a "ah, you come highly recommended by King So-and-So!" type of comment.

He's not. When you made an Orlesian, the default dwarven king was ... *drumroll, please* ... nobody! In the lines where you'd hear, "King Bhelen said blah blah blah" or "King Harrowmont said blah blah blah," you merely got, "The King said blah blah blah."

This was true for Golems DLC. Just the standard "the king" line replacing the names of Bhelen and Harrowmont. This is why I think it does not matter who is on the dwarven throne because they didn't give a crap in the DLCs. It didn't matter to Dace if you were speaking to him as a dwarf nor did he acknowledge your past origin. You were just a random warden.

Cmessaz wanted to make a DA2 topic in her group.  That might be a good idea, so people who don't want to hear spoilers can avoid it.

Yeah, I hear ya, I do. I love the Varric fan love thread, but we barely know what the guy is like and I don't want to get myself whipped in a frenzy if he is not actually a love interest. Personally I don't think there's a dwarven love interest in DA2, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. I feel like they may do a dwarven romance ONCE and I rather not blow it on a game where we can only play humans. Would rather wait until dwarf/dwarf is available, but I will take what I can get. If there is indeed a dwarf romance in DA2, I AM DOING IT NO QUESTION. In fact, I will go as far as to preorder the game so no one can spoil it for meeeee. And then I'd feel even worse if I end up liking a different companion better than the dwarf because I may be branded as a traitor to dwarfkind. *cries*

I guess it could carry over.

Awakening checks the mistress and the queen flag for Alistair I guess.

It might.  I have my Bera run, just in case being in-love makes a difference.  But who knows.
