Hm so a little late reopening the discussion but I read the whole "save Connor/Isolde or go to the Circle". I really wish there was an option when Alistair confronts you, to say "And you've forgotten that the Templars have called for the Right of Annulment?" I went to Redcliffe first, and my mage had already heard the news from Ser Bryant.
Thinking rationally, my mage doesn't even know what's going on in the Circle, but she doesn't want to risk going there in case the Annulment has already arrived and all the mages are dead. What would be the point? So in her eyes it's either kill the abomination or sacrifice Isolde

I think part of the problem is there are rumors you can't confirm.  Yes, that rumor and others are true, but there are a whole bunch you can hear from people that aren't.  There's also the possibility Alistair won't have heard that rumor if he was in your party.  You can RP is anyway you want, and that would make a lot of sense, but I think the game tries a little bit to make sure your companions don't have knowledge they're not supposed to.

ToP, really?

I've been busy again today, i wish my life would quieten down. I haven't had any time to spare for DA over the last two and half weeks. Two of my PCs have been waiting in Lothering for a month.

:crying:
Thursday should ease my pain.

Ooh, that looks like a new Smailika.  I hope she colors it.

I've been spending more time with Geralt than Alistair.  Sorry big guy.

So I'll have to recycle.

I have to recycle, as well, and like Addai, I really like that unintentional glitch shot as well, Dahlia.

 Love the Maric/Fiona drawing!

Addai, are you enjoying Witcher more now?

Staying on subject.  All of my shots are recycled.  My current blood mage is on Alistair's hate list, and my little DN hasn't gotten through Ostagar yet.

Sparkly kisses are so fun. The Witcher... uh, well it's entertaining. Not terribly absorbing. I wanted to see what an RPG with voiced, more pre-determined protagonist would be like. I think I have my sense of it. I can enjoy a good game like that, but not the way I enjoy DAO. I paid $20 for the Witcher and I think I'll get my money's worth.

Oh, I also ordered the first book. Kind of interested to see how the books are.

Witcher perks up a lot once you get inside Vizima. I really enjoyed Chapter 2 with the whole private eye thing.

I'm a little nervous about next week's dlc and how I'll be feeling after I play it.  It might be good to have another game to distract me.  It's either that or Mass Effect 1, which I bought awhile ago, but still haven't gotten into.  It'll either be that or my last City Elf + Alistair playthrough.

Yeah, I'm kind of meh about DA too and mostly aimlessly morphing and fiddling with my characters.  Even if the Witch Hunt is good, how good can a short DLC be?  I don't expect much replay value.

The other incentive to play The Witcher is that W2 is coming out and you can import a W1 Geralt into it.  So, that might be worth a look.  I'm interested in Fallout New Vegas, too.  I wish Beth would announce a new Oblivion, though.  Posted Image

@CalJones; I just got into Vizima, so maybe my interest will pick up.  It's kind of hard to take the story seriously with some of the goofier elements.  Like all the heroic cleavage hanging out everywhere.

Do either of you play additional areas like Castle_Cousland, Temple of Vulak, Tomb of Calenhad, or even Hilltop?

I've been having a blast with these additional areas, I haven't been able to clear the last area of Temple of Vulak yet, either.  Lol, it's shockingly scary, my husband always hears me yelling while I"m trying to stay alive there, it totally rocks.

Another topic: You know what always bugs me? How does Anora know the joining can be fatal?  The joining is such a big secret supposedly, yet there she is spouting off in the Landsmeet about how it can be fatal.  That always bugs me.  I'd like to call her the word Alistair calls Morrigan...lol

No, I haven't tried any of those.  I should!  Do any of them allow our regular companions?  I'm just having a pessimistic morning today, and figuring I might be feeling pretty angry next week.

They're basically add ons to the vanilla game. Not terribly profound or well written but some truly epic battles. You can use your whole party as you normally.

Sorry about the pessimism and potential anger  :( Hopefully that won't come to fruition.

But, yes, you take whatever party to those areas you want.  They each are good for different levels, especially Temple of Vulak, which you do at max level before the AD, or...even after the AD, those areas are still available after your campaign is done.  Hilltop is level 7-9 I think, Castle_Cousland after that, next would be Tomb of Calenhad ~level 15, then Temple of Vulak @ max level (I'm usually Level 25 by that point).

Temple of Vulak and Tomb of Calenhad are done by the same guy....very well done.  Castle_Cousland has two parts to it, after the first part you get a one-stop-shopping-and-enchanting area, which is very nice.  I've enjoyed these very much.  There are some others 'coming down the pike', which should be fun, as well.

. . .No one's commented on tuppence's sparkly Alistair nipple. . .?

Romantic "First Knight" scene for my CE somewhat ruined by a graphics bug. The scene goes something like this [Alistair's dialogue is paraphrased because I can't be bothered to look up the exact words, but since it's this thread I'm assuming you all know what I'm talking about]:

Alistair: . . .even though this is the worst possible time, I just can't wait any more. It has to be tonight, in case. . .you know, in case. . .
Lyra: I thought you'd never ask.

Lyra moves to Alistair, raising her arms up to cradle his head in her hands, to bury her face in his neck and kiss him sweetly before allowing him to lead her to his tent. However, Alistair chooses this moment to turn towards the fire, hunch down and start rubbing his hands together over the flames, leaving Lyra snuggling the air just above and to his left like a big loser or a crazy person with an imaginary boyfriend.

Sigh. . .<_<

Oh, ouchie :? Talk about being left high and dry...

Where do those sparkles come from, anyway?  I don't think I've ever had that happen. I want sparkles!  :)

Argh!!!  I hate it when I type out a long reply, and then when I hit Submit, the Social Network decides that I'm not logged in, so I lose all of what I type.

A synopsis of my lost reply:
  • Great!  Companions.  I'll try those addons.  Tired of companions I don't know or care about.
  • Nightmares about spiders taking over the city put me in a bad mood this morning!
  • Need a nice peaceful moment like this.

Um...What mod are you using? If you are using -just- the First night mod, without IRS , then I included a fix for that in my file. Otherwise, the fixed file *should* be in the IRS mod.... How are your mods set up?

Sigh. . .PS3. . .no mods. Just a console bug.

I did take a while to decide between "I thought you'd never ask" and "No, you don't need to say any more" (or whatever) dialogue options. Perhaps his attention wandered. . .?
