Uh oh.... *jumps into a foxhole*This is not aimed at my reply, I hope. I see both sides of it. And if I make people start bickering again, I'm gonna feel terrible. I swear, I just wanted to say my view.

I should have includes a winky face or a smile--and it was mostly because the thread was just in a two day discussion about Morrigan and the nature of love. Not to worry. KoP likes you. I'm sure it will be fine.Alistairschica wrote...

That those who are not liked by KoP should fear his wrathful retribution?

Having done some stupid and self destructive things in the past and around Alistair's age no less, I can easily understand the way he reacted to different things. I'm not saying what he did is right, but sometimes when you're in so much pain its incredibly hard to see the big picture.

Implying something?

Which was my reason for stating that caring for someone throws all the rules out the window.

Some people are stronger than others. Some let their 'hearts' lead them and others follow their mind. I'm one of the former. You're the latter, it seems. Which I think the world is better off that way. A good balance to have. But like I said, I see both sides. He didn't make the right decision but he's only human, wearing his emotions too close to the surface. It's easy to say we'd do this or that but the choice comes from whatever emotions we feel at that moment and how tight of a rein we have on them.

I'm glad that everyone helped you see him in a different way. I probably need to read Loghain's thread so I can not despise him so much. >>
I have noticed that it's quite common (for Alistiar and for other fictional characters) for someone to complain about something that they view as stupid and irresponsible and others to say that it was a human thing to do. What does that mean, anyway? Anything humans do is a human thing to do. Does that make everything any human has ever done okay? Yes, it's nice when fictional characters can behave in a realistic manner but that shouldn't be the end-all, be-all. IRL people aren't let off the hook for what they've done because it was a very human reaction. I don't think someone's actions being 'human', IRL or otherwise, gives them a free pass.Of course he is human and yes we all make mistakes. That does not reduce our responsability.

I completely agree with you there. He should have been held accountable for desertion. Then again, him falling into despair and becoming a wandering drunk seems like a punishment all it's own. ...............If you don't lop off his head, KoP. xDD

And I agree with you yet again. I think our discussions are rather pleasant.

I don't see that as heartless. It made me feel sad, though but it's difficult to explain why in the right way. Sad FOR you, if that makes sense. I think it's honorable that you focused on the hopes he had for you. My dad wanted to live long enough to see my sister and I graduate. He died a month after hers. I still keep in mind all of the things he taught me and wanted for me and it does help with the grief a great deal, even after all this time has passed. No one heart feels the same way about things and that's what makes meeting people so wonderful, I think. We learn a lot from each other.
.................And what's the banner about with all the minions? xD I fully support this.

There's no real rules besides trying to get the weekly prompt done by Saturday as that's when the next prompt is announced, anyone who isn't a designated weekly prompt-giver can still give guest prompts, anyone can participate, and here is the group link.

I don't think you need minions. You're a force unto yourself.
In all seriousness, reading your veiws since joining this forum has been the main enjoyment for me. It's always good to take a step back and try to see things from a different point, even if our own doesn't change in the end. Lots of good food for thought.
It is certainly a pleasure talking to you again. We must think of more things to pleasantly discuss. Like Morrigan's lips being too fat.I kid. I kid. You'd insult Alistair and I would have to throw down my gauntlet. It would be a bloodbath.
For now though, I must say goodnight. I have to earn that green so I can keep paying for my internet and other less important things like food and stuff.Night to you and everyone else. Have a great day tomorrow/today?
