What the real kicker was is that Everd just really did not care.
About anything or anyone.

Loghain was at least operating in his POV around trying to save Fereldan.
Everd would sell his own mother for a single point stat boost.

Even as nice as I am, I'd have to think about the stat boost for a minute.  Those are nice, indeed.  I'd probably sacrifice Zevran for 5 of them.

I did kill Connor once, though.  Him and Isolde get on my friggin nerves.    I just can't imagine distancing myself enough to make my character not care.  Especially now that I feel so close to the characters.  Course, I also can't play an elf or dwarf b/c I'm not one in RI.  *sigh*  Silly, I know but I can't separate myself like a lot of others. 

I play a good number of humans.
I dont seek reality in my games though because I seek escapism in them.

Its more fun to be something entirely outside of the normal and play as someone very different for me.

I would love to be able to do that. I enjoy escaping through stories but for some reason, I can't make choices on this game that I wouldn't make personally. I've tried and it bugs me so much that I reload. I even tried playing a dude but I got far enough to get some achievements and then deleted him. *grumble*

I swore I would never get into a ff that wasn't complete, but I am now hooked on The Arrangement.  I've only just gotten to chapter 16 so far.  This probably isn't the right thread for this confession, but I LOVE your Loghain.  I'll be back to Alistair after I'm finished with my current game, but I'm really enjoying the conversations with Loghain in this one.  And really enjoying your story!  <3

Aww, that's nice, thank you.  And encouraging, since I got a fairly critical review followed by being pinged by a troll this week.
Re Cailan sexiness, I don't have a Cailanistair morph, just know of some nice Cailan fanart.    I've posted sweetfoxy's here before, that's still my favorite, though there is actually quite a bit of Cailan sexiness out there.

Be prepared though. The dice made all of us do some unpleasant things. You might want to set a rule or two for yourself before you start. I decided where I would draw the line: I would not kill Dog or have Alistair executed.

Okay, went and listened to that. Heh, nope, not me.... (Side note: sure would like the song better if the drums weren't so far forward in the mix. Kind of a cool retro thing though. Hadn't really listened to her before.)

I tried the diced warden thing in Awakening... couldn't make it to the end playing like that (went on playing normally), even in Awakening where I wouldn't care as much as Origins.

  I wouldn't have thought of that.  Thanks for the tip.  Hopefully I won't need a pint of Ben and Jerry's or a group hug when it's over.

It's not always a pleasant way to play, and I'll never do it again.  But it was kind of exciting in a way to play the game having no idea what was going to happen.  When I normally play, I have a good idea of how it's going to turn out.  Sometimes I'll surprise myself by changing my mind at the last minute.  But I basically know.  In the diced game, it was all a surprise.  And I saw things I had never known existed in the game.

edit - Rage, after my diced game ended with Drunkenstair, I was going to do a happy Alistair ending immediately.  Instead I ended up with a Cullen romance (Alistair went on to rebuild the wardens and my pc eloped with Cullen) and now I'm doing a Loghain game with Alistair marrying Anora.  I need to get back to moving Brin toward the Royal Wedding!

I did see some few dialogues I hadn't seen as well as Nate's second recruitment scene, but to me it just felt like a waste of a character, not being able to properly roleplay her.

And I had to turn down Sigrun...

That's very true, Tupp. I never abandoned Redcliffe until that game. That was...disturbing...but saw a lot of something new there. Teagan I thought would po'd to no end, but was surprised that Di could talk him down...sort of.

I got so fed up having to roll the dice for everything that by the time I got to Ostagar I deleted the whole thing.

Hmmm... I've never seen that either. I mean, I saw Teagan's reaction when you left Redcliffe but I haven't seen all the corpses of everyone in the Castle. I think I'll do that just for kicks.

And yes, turning down Sigrun was painful... very painful!

That was pretty much the last diced decision I made in that game.

I went and listened to Poker Face. I can't deal with the synthesized keyboard thing and the dance beat. I kind of liked what she was doing, though. Now, if you put some heavy, grinding guitars behind her, and real drums.... That would have been pretty cool. Okay, that's wildly off topic, better  recycle and Alstair pic.
