@Reika - Wow. That would be hard. I never thought about it being Alistair who might be the one to tell Fergus the details of what happened in Highever. And then, to have Lana in a coma on top of that... Poor Ali!

Well I wouldn't hunt you down Cmessaz or Briiel, Maker knows we've seen some horrible things here.

But I might die a little inside...

@ Jon, I actually like that picture...

Thanks folks.

@Sarah - doh, so much for proofreading. It should've said she was in a coma from killing the archdemon. Which may or may not be AU, but figured seeing what happened to the Warden killing the thing had to be damn rough, even with the DR. Or may be because of it. And again, not sure if it was AU or canon, but Fergus knew what happened to Highever, but not the exact details.

Just punched Isolde in the head, and goddamnit did it feel good! Nothing quite like Orlesian beatings to make the day seem just a little bit brighter.

I usually sacrifice her to save Connor. It seems like justice for what she did to Alistair and because the whole Connor mess is basically her fault.  My current warrior will save her, but my current Rogue will make up for it.

Yup, I'm in the kill Isolde crowd. Even though Ali throws a fit afterwards, I just don't care. I'm doing it for his own good. LOL

I don't sacrifice Isolde only because the thought of sacrificing another person to blood magic bothers me. But I'm weird like that. :)

I dont sacrifice Isolde usually. As a blood mage player myself, I dont mind the concept, its' just I dont think that she deserves to get off as easy for all the trouble she causes.

She doesnt give a damn about the villagers of Redcliffe who lost their lives for her foolish choices. She should have to live with some guilt and sorrow. Plus, in this playthrough I let Jowan go so I didnt have him come and offer the ritual anyway. Only other option would have been to go to the Circle of Magi and for RP reasons my mage characters always have a verrry good reason for wanting to put that particular treaty off as long as possible so it wasnt really an option.

Sooo I killed the Abomination with my murder knife after punching out Isolde. Alistair was upset but I managed to persuade him into only losing 6 approval. Which I instantly regained via a dragon statuette and propelled myself forward several points through his mothers' amulet. Victory is mine!!

I always let Jowan go. For some crazy reason, I like him. Must be the mullet

TBH, how I do Redcliffe depends on my pc. Some think it wouldn't be acceptable to leave an entire village at the mercy of a demon, for the good of 1 person. Of course some would never do blood magic or kill a child. Just depends on who I am playing, I play differently each time and I try my best not to meta-game.

RP wise - my mage is a blood mage who, while counting Jowan as a dear friend, does *not* trust him to be able to handle a complex magical ritual to safely propel him into the Fade. Thus the only options are to kill Conner or go to The Circle of Magi. As I stated before, my mage has compelling reasons not to want to return to the Tower(not to mention if they leave Redcliffe to go to the Circle, what happens if Conner goes on another rampage?) so he makes the decision to kill Conner.

My non-mages always elect to go to the Circle over trusting a blood mage and killing a child, praying to the Maker or the Gods that Teagan can actually keep the situation on hold for a few days.

I have to admit that I tend to play basically good warriors or slightly naughty rogues, but never really mean or evil. I just can't do it, I always want to win Alistair through honesty not just choosing the right dialogue at the right time etc. And I find it hard to be uber mean or obnoxious. I had this problem in Kotor too, I would start out wanting to go all Darth, but I would always end up doing the right thing.

Eh, when I try to play a character that would go against how I see things, they end up in limbo. Which is what happened to the one mage character I had that was going to do the sacrifice.

They should probably only tell people about that second reason as I don't think Alistair, Teagan, or Eamon would appreciate hearing that part of the reason that little Connor is dead is because your mages really don't like the Tower and were putting it off.

Heh, my mage does the same as yours except she felt bad for betraying Jowan so she let him go

It really depends on the character I'm playing, but I often kill Isolde.  After all the people who died for her stupidity, I don't feel too bad about her sacrifice.

And I even more often let Jowan go.  I do like him.  In the last game, my mage helped him rescue Lily.

Poor Isolde. Still under assault from everyone.

And what's with the phrasing "kill Isolde"? You don't kill her, she sacrifices herself willingly to save her son (something I respect).

I (the player) "kill" Isolde by making the choice to accept her sacrifice in my game.
