So um might be heresy in these parts, but I haven't done an Alistair-romance playthrough yet (finished Leliana, currently in the midst of the Zev), and in both these games Alistair and Morrigan have soooooooooo much FoeYay that I want them to just hook up and hatef*ck already. Very Slap, Slap, Slap, Slap, Kiss.



Anyone else get that? Just me?

LOL Holy. In this thread, that's probably just you. We use Ali/Morrigan sexytime scenes as threats to those who misbehave. Not quite as bad as Ali/Wynne scenes, but bad enough.

Edit:  Here's another RDT for today... and see?  Even I don't always have Ali.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe its says something about my exes, but a lot of their conversations seems come across as sort of teasing-insulting rather than outright hatred.

I just wanted to see my bro/wingman hit that, you know

I do agree that not all of the conversations sound full of venom but I think you're falling into the trap of assuming that all bickering must mean UST. Sometimes it is if you have any indication at all that they like each other or get flustered around each other but with Alistair and Morrigan they just really got off to the wrong start. Morrigan mocks his grief about Duncan, Alistair hates the idea of an apostate wandering around and doesn't trust her...not a great mix.

I agree that bickering does not have to equal UST. There's plenty of bickering within the party that never came across as UST- in fact, most of it. Its just that the Morrigan-Alistair conversations that came across that way to me. Not all of them, true.

The fact they get started off on the wrong foot, or even hate/dislike each other doesn't kill the concept of for me. I couldn't picture them in a loving relationship or anything...sort of like Buffy and Spike after she comes back from being dead, if you get the reference.
