@Rage - The way you've written Dan, I can't see him tolerating being chancellor, but could see him still being their for his adopted brother. And I like that you wrote Maggie as strong, but not overwhelming, if that makes sense.

Don't blame her about not wanting the beard on Alistair though.

Reika, yeah the chancellor thing was before I knew that he could become a Teryn. And with that also do what Eamon had done and marry an Orlesian. So the second time he took the title and riches which was a way to begin thinking of how he could spend his life with Leliana. Plus with that I learned how much stronger Alistair could be hardened. The chancellor run was an unhardened Alistair. And you are right. it never sat well with me, so the chancellor bit died which was the reason for the second canon run.

I actually never took any of the boons on Lana, none of them really fit. And it's always fun to replay your canon character, it's like re-reading a good book or watching a favorite movie.

Reika and Yankee, you both take a boon each time you play Lana and Devynn. At the  Landsmeet you declare yourself as his future queen. He just happens to be in love with you when you do it. but that's the biggest boon of all with Alistair.

I never really know what boon to take... As a mage (and avid hater of the Chantry) I am sorely tempted to ask for more mage independence, but at the same time there's the fact that I want to reward my allies as well.



As a Mage, I never ask for anything that advances my personal power beyond staying as the Commander of the Grey. The Bannorn and the Chantry would never tolerate a mage *cough*maleficar*cough* serving as a Teryn or Chancellor. It would just give more grief to Alistair and make his reign unstable.

I just read a fic called This is Going to Hurt by Clariana. Alistairs' execution.

I have cried exactly twice while reading before tonight. One, was at the end of Return of the King at The Grey Havens. The other was Dumbledores' death.

But goddammit, I cried while reading that story.

My last Cousland (didn't marry Anora) just wanted to go traveling with Leliana since I had that convo with her during the game. So he didn't even take the teyrn boon from her. Just told her "I want nothing else" and when she asked if he was staying with the wardens he told her "i'll be traveling a while". I realize most of the lines she gives you in that dialogue are the same as Alistair's but it made her a lot less icy seeming to me that playthrough.

He recruited Loghain and turned him into dragon kibble for the good of Ferelden and so didn't even have to go running after Morrigan to find his OGB either. This was perhaps my most free character but I rp'ed him as pretty messed up in the head. I like to thing Leliana helped him heal from everything in their travels.

I can imagine how having so many bodies lying on the ground would stress the system. I think Improved Atmosphere includes the option for bodies to stay, but it's too taxing if I recall, and that's with only some bodies on screen, not the dozens on that pic.

That's another great shot Errant!!! I finally got a good look at it and WOW! that's a lot of work. It took my breath away at what the area should look like after that kind of battle. I could feel Alistair's frustration at being unable to find Duncan and being overwhelmed at the devastation. Brilliant job!

@Rage - Good Dan stories. I really liked how you brought emphasis to those writings found in "A Moment so Powerful...". It was a great discovery and deserved more screen time. And in your Emperor piece, I like Dan telling Alistair he's already being a good king because he's worrying about it.

Yeah, we had a brief period inspired by Addai where she posted a couple scenarios and we executed Alistair.  I believe she also did one, as did I.

Edit:  Oh, I should add, they were all so freaking sad.

I figured out the Ali voice I heard on telly was in fact a twix commercial. I haven't found the proof yet, but his voice is fairly distinctive.



In other news, I almost cried when Circenne had to reject Alistair through the 'choose between me or Zevran dialogue' she let him down easy though. He just looks so dissapointed and hurt.

I'm romancing both Alistair and Zevran still, hoping they will both initiate the tent scene but neither of them has as yet. I was mucking about a couple of knights ago with all of Alistair's dialogue and it did go to the tent and I got the scene but had to go so I ended up skipping it and not keeping it as a part of the main game. I really wish he would initiate it though!
