He's giving a lot of "maybes" and "could be's." He also said there will be hit-it-and-quit-it romance possibilities. I think nailing a drunk Alistair would present all sorts of internal conflicts in my fangirl heart! Not that I wouldn't do it!

I still can't let Loghain live on any of my playthroughs. Do I really want to encounter a broken Alistair on my Lady Hawke? I doubt I can do it unless I hear you get to fix him. Even then I don't know if I have the heart to do that after it was my Warden who broke him.



Nate on the other hand...I'd tap that in a HEARTBEAT!!

Really? Finally some good news out of DA2!! Hopefully it's more of an encounter than the hi-bye in Awakening. If there is, I may actually buy this game, voiced PC, dialogue wheel, and all, and this is the first time I've seriously considered that a real possibility.

I didn't get that for some odd reason.  I thought they were reasons why we wouldn't come across him.  But maybe the lack of good sound and no subtitles made me misunderstand.

I didn't hear that!  Although I missed the beginning of the feed.  I just heard him answer the question, "Where is Alistair?"  He said he could be drunk or king or a grey warden or dead.

He did say Sten will not be seen in DA2 and neither will our warden, but he can't say if our warden will be seen after that.

Not if its a short cameo where you stumble across a drunk man (your PC woulnd't know) but you the player know is Alistair in a passing where you don't even hear his voice cause Bioware was too cheap to pay SV for a single line of dialogue.  That's SO not worth putting up with Loghain's bullsh*t and going through the misery of of no Al at the end of my game. (Or worse a pissed off Al who is married to the Harpy).

I wouldn't mind Alfstanna voice. She totally rocks. Anora voice isnt' that bad as long as she doesn't put stress on her lines. Then she sounds screechy like Isolde. Unfortunately in combat i imagine it would get shrieky (I don't use the violent HF set because of this).

Yeah, my expectations are suitably dismal, too.  Awakening cured me of optimism on such matters.

The world is coming to an end. I just heard news I actually LIKE from DA2. O___O

Though like Syl I picture it similar too, actually. We get into a bar, there lies a drunken blond-haired guy down with his face on the table and the person next to you tells you his story. Heh, just you watch.xD

And I anticipate that Warden Alistair gets killed for non apparent reasons than Gaider being evil. He loves doing stuff like that, after all.
