Well, knowing Gaider, he's going to be heartbreaking/anything that involves a tragic ending...

Edit : Gah! Top!

Yeah so far I'm not too excited about Fenris as a companion... I just dont think anyone is ever going to replace Alistair, Morrigan, Sten, and Oghren as the best RPG companions I ever played with.

And Dog. Can't forget Harel.

I miss my Alibear already.  I think I'm going to be running back to DAO shortly after I finish DA2

Those are great shots, Rak! And yeah, I'm going to miss Alistair too, I'm afraid. But we'll see... the idea of a 10-year time span has quite a bit of appeal to me... I like the idea of having the possibility of developing long-term relationships... assuming the writers had a budget for creating the depth that years of knowing someone would produce.

I try to work up some interest for him because he is a Gaider character. I. Fail. Every. Single. Time. :?

That was my initial draw, too.  I'm hooked now.  Broody, stoic Gaider warrior elf... egads, I was doomed.  I am also looking forward to Merrill as companion.  More Dalish lore stuff, and seeing a shem-Dalish romance from the other side (if I roll a male PC).  It will be interesting to see how they write up a Dalish blood mage since that was Idun's back story.  Anders never moved the squee meter even a blip, but I'm interested to see what they do with his story.

Personally I'm pretty burned out with Origins and ready to move on.

Yeah, I hear ya. Still not convinced though. Maybe I'm not ready to let my old peeps go and this not only due to the FF I'm still writing up. I have Origins for PC about 2 months now and haven't tried many things since I more often write on my FF than I actually game...but I will do that eventually. And this means DA2 and its oh so fantastic new shiny companions have to wait. Can't get over my indifference for it, somehow. Oh well. *shrug*

I don't find the new art style or game models attractive, but if the stories are interesting, as I'm sure they will be, I'll likely be drawn in, at least to an extent. I know how I respond to the dialogue wheel, though, so it will be difficult to feel as involved. I expect to find the storytelling compelling. I don't see it topping this game, but I think I'll find it playable and a good addition to lore.

Playing one doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying the other.

True maybe even sends you back to the other to try another approach and see the result.  Says the girl with a few playthroughs still unfinished >.<

To my fellow Alistair-gals,

I'd like to rec a wonderful Alistair/Amell fic. The author, a dear friend of mine, just started out on FF.net. She has two chapters up so far and they are wonderful.

Read it here: www.fanfiction.net/s/6738621/1/

Happy reading!

Indeed. I suspect that I'll revisit some stuff in Origins at some point after playing DA2. There are origins I haven't even touched, so depending on themes in DA:2, I might just have to go check them out.

As long as the story is compelling, my suspension of disbelief will take me very far into enjoying the game. And, I'm sure it will be, given what we've seen so far.

Yep...me too. I have 3 days off work to see how far I can get, too. :innocent:

I very much doubt Alistair would EVER do that. Why would he? He might hate Morri but not like this!:crying:

Wow...really?  Completely ignoring that it would've been the "fangirl's" decision to have Alistair sleep with Morrigan, that clip was a little too extreme and ooc for Alistair.Image IPB

Well, it was pretty creepy...kind of like he was posessed or something. But I found it more odd and confusing than anything else. No big. Also, I'm hungry. *goes to get chicken, leek abd barley soup--a rather Fereldan meal*

On another note, I think I love photoshop CS5, anthough I have no dea what's going on with the levels.

Yes, that's where he is.... It's an unused pic from my story. Can't say more about that, other than a note that recent revelations about DA2 are forcing a minor rewrite of the story that was almost done and major concept changes to part 2. Not that it has anything to do with the roof. ;)

Honestly, I dont know what Im going to do with my import playthrough for DA2 in regards to the Dark Ritual... On one hand, he's extremely pragmatic in regards to achieving his goals (and in story he's going to grapple with his morality and the choices he has to make) and from the way Morrigan explains the ritual, anyone could kill the Archdemon if him or the other Wardens dont survive to get to the fight because the soul will seek out the childs taint like a beacon so he ensures a victory even if he himself falls. But on the other hand, he is disturbed that the relationship he's cultivated with Morrigan over the course of the Blight was just a ploy and is dealing with that feeling of betrayal while at the same time contemplating what an Old God reborn in human form could do to the world.

Im so lost as to what Im going to do.... and dont even get me started on Witch Hunt =x
