I was at the London EA presentation this morning. One of the things Mike Laidlaw said in answer to a question was that when they selected what would carry over they tried to emphasise the important things. "Who was the King of Ferelden" was one of those things he mentioned. Of course that is no guarantee that we'll see a King Ali but one can hope.

There are SO many rumors right now, and Gaider is soooo sneaky in the words he chooses, I'm just importing my full saves and playing from there, maybe after that I'll go back and try origins only. But Awakening aknowledges you are the queen (alistair does call  you his wife) so I'll just assume DA2 will too.

Well had it coming or not, I really think it's just more humane. Jaine is romancing him, they're in love. HE is in love, which he thought could never happen. He's unhardened too, and she's going to spare Loghain. She doesn't know this yet of course. But it's really hard to play right now.

That's cruel too.

 Yeah Jaina is gonna have a hard time of it for sure. And that's pretty much how she'll feel about it.  Of course she'll feel some guilt herself once she realizes how HE felt at that moment. Especially since he accepted that she was a blood mage. But eventually she'll hunt him down I think. At least in Fic land. Or he'll hunt her down, and they'll both "get it"

Basic plan is the Darkspawn horde attacks Lothering, Ser Bryant and his stalwart templars remain as the last line of defense while the refugees try to run North.

It's not like you see her kill him. I had to watch Arcturus kill Morrigan (granted, didnt' save) and even I admitted that the cutscene was probably one of the best in the game.

he wasn't executed. He was exiled, unhardened.
