I hate Anora too :x but, I see the logic in sparing Loghain. It sucks that Alistair doesn't, though I do understand why. It made for a sad sad playthrough, which brought me closer to the character.

So true. This is the first time I've done it on purpose. So everything reached through the screen and squeezed my heart. It was rough. and to make it worse the DR mod triggered as I left Riordan's room and I got hit with...

And on to Awakening.

Don't know about Awakening. I'm a little bored with it. No Alistair (except a short and impersonal blurb at the start), no Zev, no - ahem- romantic interludes. The only good thing is that Anders is hot! I'm not sure I can get to the end of the game. Velanna is making me nuts! I'm only one main quest in, and I'm thinking of bagging it.

Yeah I'm not a fan either, though I did enjoy the Alistair for my queen cousland and chancellor amell games.  But I'm gonna get through it if it kills me.

Awakenings could be a slog, with all of it's bugs & that F'ed up conversation system Nate & Anders are the only ones I like. I hate Oghren in there, I don't know what the writers were thinking with that. Yea, I get it, he likes to drink. I don't need to hear a belch every time I click on him. I'm lucky if I can get his approval up to 55. Never get his or Sigrun's quests.

Yeah. I had to do silverite mine twice before I got my cool phoenix armor back. Teach me to not look stuff up first! If I want to hear someone belch every 10 seconds, I'll hang out with my brothers. Ogren stays in the keep. I do like Nate, too. And Sigrun isn't too bad compared to Velanna. I'll try to finish but I may just end up going to my queen run. Must do the wedding scene!!!!

I think you have to be romancing him for that line to trigger about "us", unless it's one of those zillion of landsmeet bugs. But yeah it hurt. And I was writing Chapter 2 this morning while sniffling and boohooing.

Ugh I know. No other game has made me wish so hard that there's a chance to fix this. Meanwhile I'll ever so slowly do it in fan fic I guess. And it was really tough to not tackle Zevran after, geez he's so sweet.

Haha thank you. Yeah it is always very, very satifiying to gut/behead all the humans and Vaughn in the CE- origin. I love that.

Aeryn is a lot of fun, a very sarcastic and witty character (traits she shares with Lenya) who loves her family above everything else. So it was never a question if she would gut Vaughn or not. And she has fun to kill too, apparently. Never had so many beheadings before as I had now with her in the Arl's estate

@Catspaw: Thank you <3 You know,  I have a very sarcastic, dark humor myself and also watching Buffy as a teen has marked my sight on a kick-ass heroine as well. Waiting for the hero to come and save me? Pfff, my girls are doing that on their own. No need for help.

Also my Warden's need to be a bit....crazy and to have a "don't mess with me" attitude. It's more fun this way for me. I could never play a pure goody, goody character where the sun is already shining out of her/his ass. Not my thing.

I did just finish Origins with a Pious blood mage...but she exiled Alistair so no goody goody there. She'll be hunting him rather than stupid Morrigan I can tell ya THAT. And She's about to kill a few templars so forget the piou thing. Stupid rylock.

I played a character who would fashion himself as a pure goody goody person. Enjoyed making reality slap him across the face every single time till he realized that this world is not what he expected it to be (secluded mage). Enlightenment, followed by despair and then, death by Archdemon.

It's the only way I can play goody goodys.

Why not goody goody? Some would argue that giving Loghain the chance to redeem himself to be goody goody.

But that's not why she spared him. That was just an unfortunate side effect. She suspected what Riordan later confirmed about the Warden dying, and she was in need of a general, because leading an all out army is beyond her abilities as a bookworm. She spared him out of mostly selfish reasons, even if it didn't quite work out as she expected.

She's aalso good and ticked off at Morrigan. A first for my wardens. Hey, don't look at me this thread started it. When the prompt for "wish he'd never left the chantry" came up it morphed...
