The actual game makes mages look like the bad guys.

For one thing, he's carrying a templar shield.Glorfindel709 wrote...
So I was thinking while I started another Origins playthrough this afternoon (because at this point I'm not touching DA2 again for another few months) and I got to Alistair in Ostagar.
I understand that as a former Templar he has reason to be cautious of mages, but how is it that every mage at Ostagar knows that he is a former templar and that him being sent by the Grand Cleric was such an insult? I mean, it's not like he has a facebook page that reads his former occupation.... is there a sort of marker or invisible tattoo that only mages can see that lets them know "TEMPLAR!! KEKEKE RUSH IT AND KILL IT WITH FIRE AND SNARKY GLARES!!!" or do you think they recognized him from any time he might have spent at the Circle?

I can't say that I'm not disappointed at how much part two is going to have to change to accomodate DA2, and what that will mean for the characters. Still, there's the possibility of some good drama in that. But yeah.... Part one is now bittersweet in a way that was never my intent.rak72 wrote...
@ Errant
Reading your story is such a bummer now that they went and screwed with Anders so much. I wish we could have just remembered him the way he was.
