Question:

Has anyone here had a disappearing Alistair bug? I load my game, go into camp, he's nowhere to be found. I leave camp or eamon's estate (it's post Landsmeet) and Alistair is no longer present in the character selection screen. Even though he's alive and well and still part of my party. I checked his codex to see if somehow, the game for some reason thought I had spared Loghain and lost Alistair, but nothing there.

He is also missing from Eamon's estate, as well. Are there mods that could cause this? I've never run into this problem, this is a first.

I returned, scarred and unwilling to play RPGs after DA2. I literally couldnt work up the energy the past few days after I beat DA2.... but lo, a light on the horizon. I pushed myself til Ostagar and heard the line that, without fail, will always make me smile. "You know, one good thing about the Blight is how it brings people together."

It might be from a mod that adds characters because they jumble around the party picker. Maybe you have a conflict between 2 of them

I'm also really glad to not hear "Serrah" or "Messer" anymore....

I think I'm going to avoid talking to Alistair this time until later in the game - I always hate getting the gossip about our party members thing when I have so few party members to gossip about....

I don't have any extra characters in my party, everyone's vanilla. I do have the extra dog slot. Maybe I'll try deactivating that and seeing if it fixes anything.

I loaded up DA:O today and took Oghren to the Brecillian Forest for the first time. It's tough to do Orzammar first, and it kind of screws up combat for parts of the game, because some of the areas don't scale high enough to be a challenge, but it's worth it for some funny new lines from Oghren.

You might have to go back a ways in saves. Whatever it is probably corrupted them, so likely just removing what's causing the issue won't solve the problem on its own.

I haven't got that far. I was in the camp and about to leave when I crashed to the blue screen of death. That's been happening in multiple progs since I installed the DA2 demo.

To be fair, I installed another program at about the same time, but I think it was the demo, and is a nvidia problem.

Even at high school, teachers called me Mr + my family name.

Yeah, sounds like it. Just checked back saves, and everything before Landsmeet is fine, after, he's vanished. So I shall have to redo it it.
