I don't need to know about the boon, just about the other ways. So it depends on them being in the battle, huh? Does anyone know if that's the same case with Alistair, or if he just gives it to them, whatever?

the dalish always get land, doesn't matter who's king or queen, as long as they were recruited they get the land as a reward for fighting for Ferelden.

So if they fight, they get it, but does that have to be the case with Alistair, too? Do they have to actually be in the final battle, or does he give them the land in any case? (Off to work. I'll check back when I'm done.)

Yes the elves have to be recruited into the army and then Alistair/Anora/Both of them give the Dalish land near Ostagar in the epilogue.

No, if the Dalish were killed off and the werewolves recruited, unless the Warden is Dalish, the Dalish get nothing, regardless of who is the ruler. You instead get the epilogue card for the werewolves, and the Dalish get nothing. Alistair and Anora are the same.

If the Dalish are saved and recruited, then regardless, Alistair or Anora will grant them land, regardless of whether or not the Warden is Dalish.

When it comes to boons in general, there is no difference between Alistair and Anora's rule, except in the case of the city elves. Generally, though, the only difference between Anora and Alistair is in how their epilogue cards discussing their leadership.

Sorry Bleetman, I don't know--haven't finished my city elf playthrough, but it sounds like the boons are the same.

@Lady Constance--She's still around, but I don't know if she's writing. Perhaps she'll happen by and tell you/

The boon is the same, either Monarch, as far as when you ask for it, they will grant it. I was refering to how Anora and Alistair deal with the city elves, in general.

Was browsing the nexus for mod updates, and saw they had a DA2 section all ready to go, including....improved facemorphs for DA2 Botox-istair. DA2 will be the first time I actually support and promote the use of replacement facemorphs for ex companions. Teagan, Alistair, and Zevran are the ones I shall definitely replace, as I am less than pleased of Bioware's morbid, evil mutilation of sone of the most handsome faces in Origins.

Yeah, me too. That was awful. Very poorly done. Unfortunately, the new system just isn't very good. It's not really capable of making a real Alistair. Some people are working very hard on coming as close as possible, though.

I'm sure they will get there, with time. its another reason I am waiting until June or July to get DA2, By then, there should be some patches and fixes for the game, but especially, there should be some pretty good mods out by that time.

It must be possible to restore handsome good looks to King Cheese muncher, since some of the DAO face morphs in DA2 were actually pretty good. (Anders and Cullen come to mind).

And I think I might have figured out where my missing Alistair went, it is likely the extra dog slot mod. I shall uninstall, reload before Landsmeet is called, and see what happens. Should fix it. And I will have Alistair back, and I will finally get to ravish him in joy once again!

I've noticed the eyes in alot of characters in DA2 have a sort of "guyliner" effect, like the "Bowiestair" pictures, giving them an eyelinered "Asian" effect. In fact, one of the first impressions I got of all the DA2 artwork of was new anime/JRPG aesthetics. The faces are rounder, softer, lacking things like lines, angles, and tend to be alot more rounder than the more European/Middle Eastern morphs of DAO.

Which is probably why I am not terribly fond of them, as I am not a big fan of Anime/JRPG type art. They lack a ruggedness and realism to the faces, with everyone seemingly too smooth and round. If Thedas were more like Jade empire and based on Asian aesthetics and society, it would not bother me. But European males simply do not look as nice with the smooth skin, chubby cheeks, and button noses that look better on Asians.

If we want to keep this order, yes. A prompt can be a word, a sentence or whatever Alistair-related you think fits to tell stories about, draw a picture or stuff like that. Everything creative is welcomed in the weekly challenge. All for good fun and Ali-loving.
