A couple of new pictures to test a level I'm working on.... Lothering about 4 years after the blight.

Oh, oh, I had Alistair in my FF revisit Lothering four years after the Blight. Part of the chantry roof has fallen in.

I combined the DA2 'total apocalypse never to be rebuilt' with the lesser damage shown in DA:O, going for completely destroyed and still blighted, but repopulated by people with no where else to go. I have the inn rebuilt as a place for the Chantry to distribute food and aide, but nothing else there but a collection of hovels.

Yes, I envisage pretty much the same. I guess the destruction of Lothering has an emotional pull that neither we nor our characters can quite overcome.

Good prompt Meril :D
Here is my take on this week's challenge. I've been a bit busy this week. so I hope this will do. And I apologize if there are any grammar mistakes.. I used my character Elizabeth Cousland. But that's not really what happens in HER story (if only.. -_-)
Hope you like it!

Inspired by Kaidan Alenko prompter.

"I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity"

The diamond filled sky shimmered to the weak glow of the full moon. Sleep had fallen on the Royal Palace and silence filled the dimly lit corridors. Alistair cherished these wordless moments of peace, when there was nothing but himself. Himself and his long lost memories. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the gentle wind that had made its way through the room, ruffling his blond hair. It was a perfect night, announcing a perfect tomorrow.

He suddenly felt Elizabeth’s warm arms wrap around him and holding him tight. Smiling, he turned around and lovingly looked down at the one thing that had kept him going through out all of these desperate times. She raised her sparkling emerald eyes and softly, brought her pink lips to his. Their kiss was tender, patient, serene. There was no threat looming over them, no danger or menace. There was nothing but their love and they knew they had all the time in the world now.

Replacing a loose strand of her brown hair behind her ear, he brought her closer in his arms and locked his eyes into hers.

“You’re so… Beautiful”, he managed to whisper.

She simply smiled at him and he continued to explore with his eyes every inch of her face. A face he knew by heart, but that he had never stopped admiring. Cupping her face with his two hands, he softly ran his thumb against the scar that circled her eye on her cheek. Hideous marks from the past, she had once told him, but he had always thought it gave her such a breath-taking strength.

She ran a hand in his hair and let it trail down his back, sending shivers down his spine. Passionate desire slowly took over as he pulled her closer and pressed his mouth against hers in gentle hunger. There was no danger. No menace. They had all the time in the world now.

Feeling her bare skin against his sent a rush of ecstasy throug his body. Running a hand against her porcelain shoulder, he let himself enjoy her warmth and sweet kisses on his neck. There was nothing but their love. Nothing but this perfect night, announcing a perfect tomorrow.

He felt her mouth against his ear whispering something to him. But he couldn’t make out her words. Deep inside, he didn’t want to.

“I’m so sorry, Alistair…”

Her soprano voice held a melancholy he did not understand. He suddenly realized the silence of the castle had become more and more heavy. The walls of his room started to fade away as his soothed expression turned into a confused frown.

“I wish we could have had more time.”

He watched Elizabeth take a step away from him, shaking her head, her beautiful emerald eyes filled with tears. He suddenly felt the wooden floor under him give in as his own perfect world disappeared.

“Your Majesty? Have you been listening to a world I’ve said?”

Teagan’s voice made its way to his ear and the king looked up in dismay at the man standing in front of him. Finding himself sitting at a large round table where dozens of painted portraits of young women hoping to be wedded to him were scattered all around, his own voice rang in his head, like a long lost memory.

“You will be missed. More than I can possibly say.”

Well I write in my Lenya-verse when doing prompts but I take heed that Alistair has a main role in it as well. Lol. I have a slight idea for it but I still need time to mull it over.

What did they do to them, ugh! :crying:

Errant, those are some seriously amazing shots! I'm tempted to try fiddling around with the toolset myself. xD Which tool did you use for those? Cutscene editor?

As for the rest... only a few of you are bound to recognize me, but HEY GUYS! It's been a while! I've recently started playing Origins again with my Cousland, so I might have some delicious screenshots to share soon~

*completely ignoring that DA2!Alistair picture*

Hey, long time no see! The toolset is FUN! Do it! :) Yeah, it's the cutscene editor, but I ususally fiddle with the level as well, changing the lighting as I need to, then adding character lights in the cutscene editor. If you go back a couple of pages, you'll see a couple of tavern pics I did.
Glad you're back and playing!

@ Elysis--Ow! That's sad. It gave me an idea for a story where Alistair flees, leaving a note that he won't find a bride that way and to tell people he's out of the country for a couple of months because he needs some time to himself. *adventure ensues*

@Elysis, beautiful.

I could imagine Alistair never fully being able to get over her, his mind always floating back to a world where they were together. Perfect. I wish I were as creative with words as you.

I've tried messing around with it the other day, and I did get him to pose around and such, but I've encountered a few hurdles - like how I can't change the color of the armor, lighting, and how to actually snap a shot of the frame from the cutscene editor. It's all good fun, though!

Yes, I've seen the tavern pictures! Those were lovely. <3  You'll be my inspiration through this whole process~

Here's an old screenshot to kick things off:

Not sad! Unsad, because he'd go off and meet a woman he could enjoy killing stuff with. She's have to be a noblewoman, of course, but still...killing stuff. ;)

@Nranola-if you get stuck, PM me and I'll see if I can help or point you toward a tutorial. Also the toolset forum is full of nice folks. That's a very nice screenshot!

@Jon Jern-downloaded that last night. Never really wanted it (dialogue wheel, etc), but a free game is a good thing.

I can't play the free game because my computer doesnt have a shiny graphics card >.<

So Alistairians, I am both working on my prompt response for the week around my girlfriend and various friends badgering me to start a blog to put my rantings about peoples stupidity in the written format for their amusement >.<

Personal inclinations would have preferred obtaining the "free" game (especially after trying the demo). Unfortunately, the lack of a copy of Dragon Age II complicates matters.

@Glor : Do it! I'd read that blog.

@Errant : When you put it that way, yes, it sounds unsad! Killing stuff is always a plus.

As a special thank you to our fans for supporting Dragon Age 2 and helping it gain fantastic early success, we would like to present you with Mass Effect 2 for your PC absolutely free!!

dragonage.bioware.com/me2offer

But is it really "free" if you need to buy DA2 in order to get it? :wizard:

It's actually fairly clever. The majority of people already familiar with Bioware or Mass Effect who would actually have bought the game probably have already, so they aren't losing many sales by giving it away, and the new market they so obviously want--who may have been turned off DA2 by fan reaction--may give it a try with another game thrown in. And it primes those new people to buy Mass Effect 3.

Couching it as a thank you for support is pretty darn disingenuous, though. If they wanted to actually thank existing fans, they'd have given away some free DLC or something, not a game that most would either have or have passed on. This is clearly geared toward people who've never bought a Bioware product.

Never mind it worked.

It;s convenient for me cause I bought Mass effect 1 on PC a long time ago( didn't work but now I upgraded). So I can get Mass Effect 3 on PC. Yay.

Of course not but it's an added bonus that they had no real reason to add. I say that's pretty damn sweet no matter how you look at it.

As for whether this is a marketing ploy or not, whatever, I ain't complaning about bonus stuff.

From what I understand one can give the code away to someone else, so for those already own ME2 (like myself), I guess this an excellent chance to make a gift to somoeone. Not that I can think of anyone anyway... <_<

I downloaded it. I had ME2 for 360, but not for PC so I plan to use it and play around with mods and whatnot.

On another note, isn't today Thursday? Where is all the smut!?
