Oh crap, sorry Merril! I feel stupid now. *mental punch* The first chapters really need to be re-written, they are so BLAH and poorly written. It gets good at Lothering. Well, that's what I think, personally. But enough.

You know I've been wondering Merill if Lenya would do the DR or not (because the ending really revolves around that) and I doubt she'll spare Loghain. So It's been bugging me. SO write faster plzkthx

Since everyone else is popping in, I'll also say that I've been busy with finals stuff for my classes (all of them have assigned projects...ironically, my quantum theory project is the easiest). Additionally, my current character didn't romance Alistair so I haven't really been in that "mode" of late. I've got this really cute little doodle involving Alistair that I'll hopefully have time to finish after all this is over, inspired by the ending I'm doing right now where Alistair and Anora marry and Loghain is spared...

And, once I'm all done with classes, I might even take a stab at filling a prompt...!!

Aww... don't worry. As said I have thought something like that already....more likely US...because Eliza is so damn unhappy (for a reason, of course) I'm past Lothering now but I rarely read any FF these days due to my own writings (need to finish chapter, argh) Once I have a comfortable bolster of several written chapters I'll catch up ...but right now I was so procrastinating with my writings that the actual chapter is almost the actual one that is published. And this something I don't like because it brings my (posting) schedule for it out of...well schedule, lol. So no FF for me but water and bread while writing my own chap. Lol. It helps of course that I have zero interest in reading any DA2 FF, so since there aren't many actual DA:O FF's anymore, I'll have the chance to reduce my pile of "must reads."

I know what you mean with rewriting chapters...if I look at my first ones now...I could ...and I will do it someday...but right now actual chapters are more important.

As for Lenya and the DR...I won't answer that, of course, ()  but I think it will be pretty obvious once that sturdy Dalish has a more....deeper relationship with Alistair. Gawd, the DR is still so far away, I can't believe that I already write a year on that thing and still haven't touch any of that. Then again I had never expected that it would grow to such an extended monster (260k words anyone?) either, so yeah... Heh. I can say for sure that the redeemer ending is outruled. How is that supposed to happen/ function. I mean Lenya and Loghain....ehhh...alone the thought breaks my brain. Sorry.

And yay, Nom. I'm eager to see your prompts once you have more time. Okay I stop rambling now.

 It would be interesting to see what plot tumours arise from the next prompt.

Incidentally, narratives have a disturbing tendency to defy expectations. Perhaps, in the future, the concept of the "Redeemer" ending may not be so...abhorrent, though one could dispense the mental image of the Warden and Loghain being alone.

I have to say, I can only agree with this article. While I liked the Fenris romance, I never ever felt so emotionally engaged as I was with Alistair...and still am *points to FF* Anyway, I won't bashing Anders or the other DA2 romances, but they felt like the rest of the game....unfinished. With Alistair I had the sense of completion and still wanting more at the end of the game, which was totally not the case with Fenris (my chosen romance) While sweet in a way, I was pretty meh/indifferent about it and his character after a few days.

And I can't help to find DA2 Anders beyond creepy and am annoyed by comparisons of him to Alistair...because...ugh There NOW I have said it, despite...well gotta go *hides*

Alright, so it finally happened. I finally had a reason to write an Alistair-centric fic that was more than some chuckle ladened one shot. I present to you, ladies (not gentlemen, because KoP doesn't count since he's not gonna read it), "Iris" - my happy ending I'm giving Alistair after all the mabari fudgies I've put him through in all my playthroughs and stories.

This is post-Blight and he's his unhardened, goofy assed, much beloved self.

He has, as of late, been unhardened, but currently considering bending personal morals a little to accommodate Adrian's request. She has been fairly vocal ever since she became aware of the potential to be the queen of Ferelden, and would prefer a little maturity in a potential royal husband.

I always harden him. It just feels unfair to leave him so at the mercy of others, to me, and so down on his abilities. He needs to be able to look out for himself and stand up to people who might want to use his ideals and sense of duty against him. And it's not like he becomes a jerk. He's still his funny, charming self. I/my PC always wants him to have as much self confidence as possible, believing that he's capable of doing whatever he wants to do.

Glad you're enjoying it! She pretty much explains why she did what she did in a couple of confrontations that you likely haven't reached yet. Apart from that, her back story is the same as any city elf warden, although she's far more bitter about it than most, and likely more insecure about her position as leader. I could go into that more, but I'd rather that people draw their own conclusions from the story as I don't want to be spoilery about the characterization that's revealed in the plot.

Edit: I see from your comments on LJ that you got to that bit. Glad it worked for you so well!

@ Biotic - I always harden him. He still is the same sweet guy, but it makes him tougher, more self sufficient & less naive (imo).

@ Frost - I love Errant's FF too, especially how she wrote the evil warden. I thought that was a great touch.

That's great to hear! She's a tad disturbing, isn't she? There's a fine line between driven/focused and scary as heck. Lis is similar to my canon warden, and they look a bit alike (same hair), but she's a lot more rash and has more of a temper on her. And she's a whole lot less diplomatic.
