Skadi, boy you are twisted... But you know... I can't help this... I agree with you and someone should definitely write up this peculiar pagan ceremony for everybody's edification...

Actually, I might give it a try....

My husband is giving me strange looks from across the room... :P

The modding community needs to get to work. We have just discovered the mother of all mods.

Set it up at the Pearl, so that the ritual can include nugs, ginormous mauls, and scarecrows dancing in a circle around a large fish-idol. Use large amounts of lyrium fairy dust for added effect.

And then charge admission so all of Ferelden can observe their king dancing naked with scarecrows wearing bunny ears and sporting day-glow tie-dyed balls.:wub::wub:

With nugs and a big ass warhammer involved somehow. =]

I'd just break it open and get her free. Wouldn't want to spoil my dinner by eating the chocolate.

But what if she's actually fully encased in the cholcolate, ala' Hans-Solo deep carbon freeze, and you risk marring her tender white flesh if you attempt to break her free by anymeans but consumption?

@Skadi:
That ritual sounds a lot like the landsmeet really.

Now that I'm thinking about it, a pagan fertility ritual to cure Alistair of his taint-imposed infertility might actually be just what the doctor ordered. In ancient times, people wore symbols of rabbits and eggs, which were major fertility symbols and lucky charms believed to help people have more kids (which back then, was alot of the point of the fertility festivals in the first place).

So, like, maybe if we shave Alistair's balls and paint them up like easter eggs using edible body paint, then putting a set of bunny ears on him and have him leap naked over a bonfire then dance around a maypole under a full moon, it will cure him of shooting blanks, and then he can get back to working on his most important of kingly duties: impregnating his wife. For the good of Ferelden.:wub::wub::wub::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Well what are you gonna do to the wiife assuming she's a warden. Because only when it's TWO wardens is there any problem. Alistair isn't, on his own, infertile. :P (poor guy being wrongly accused of shooting blanks)

You could write it up following the assumption that she has received a similar or perhaps less radical treatment and then they meet... as the climax (!) of the story... I wouldn't do it in the Pearl, Skadi but in the open, like the good old pagan ritual it is...

Very true, but like you said, only when it's two wardens is there a problem. Perhaps the ritual will cancel out his wardeness as far as fertility goes. Plus, it 's much more fun to imagine Alistair partakeing in this ritual than my warden. Image IPB

Or maybe the ritual turns him super fertile, making him fire off superhuman "rounds". That can overcome mere mortal concerns like "infertility".

Morrigan's Robes.

And she is wearing his armor, 'cause that means Morri-stair is afoot, and I must burn it with fire.Image IPB

LOL, well I do remember him saying that it does need to be a "pretty dress"... of course that depends on one's definition of pretty. Morrigan in his armor, well it's about time she wore something with a bit more coverage in those battles.

I don't think he is much of a dancer to pull off the Remigold.

Oh I think he would be. He's an Ex-Templar and a good tank meaning he should be light on his feet and able to move mighty nice. Besides, even Alistair mentions that the Chantry raised him to be a Gentleman. That would mean he probably got dance lessons too. Can't have a lame templar that can't dance at formal functions.

The only dance Alistair needs to learn is the Mattress Mamba, as far as I'm concerned.:wub::wub:

Matress Mamba...rofl, Skadi xD Good one.

Actually the discussion about "WTF why do non-nobles even DARE to romance Alistair" have ascended again and pissing me off tbh. But seeing it comes from a founder of the "Death to Alistair" group...well I shouldn't be surprised...
