YAY!  Just started my PC version of a City Elf. My snarky little Bree is about to meet Alistair for the first time. After not playing DA:O for awhile and the PS3 still dead, this should be fun.

I finally gave in and have ordered Awakenings.

I can't say I'm looking forward to leaving my Ali behind even although its only for a time.

Last night, once we'd retired to our room, we had a chat about my upcoming break away, although he isn't best impressed with the idea, as usual, he fully supports my reasons and my need to go and see to my "other" duties.
The knowledge that it's only for a time isn't making either of us feel any better about the seperation but he assures me that we'll both be so busy that the time will fly by, which I'd expected him to say given his optimism regarding virtually everything, damn him!
He also reckons the change of scenery will do me the world of good given what I've been through in the last year or so, he's probably right but.......

So we have a couple of days left here at the castle until I have to leave, I don't think there will be very many royal duties being carried out over that time, unless another blight arises or something equally earth-shattering, he's all mine until I have to depart .

Don't any of you try moving in on my husband now that you know he'll be all lonely for a time 
 I'll need my Ali fix from you guys on a regular basis until I get back to the castle me thinks

I've been having that issue, as well. I am able to stay connected I just have to log in every 5 mins. Unclicking "remember me" doesn't seem to help me.  It gets quite annoying!

Have fun with Awakening. There's a few good characters, the story's not bad, and I liked being overpowered. The only real problems I have with are the "click on this tree to talk to a companion" system and Oghren's gifts not giving as much approval as they should, making it difficult to get his personal quest.

I have a few Wardens who still need to go through Awakening. My city elf who ran off with Warden Alistair just started. It's weird not having him or Zev around.

I wonder why Warden Alistair doesn't get a letter like Zev or Leliana do. At least you know those two ran off to Antiva and Orlais. I just figure he's off building Duncan's monument at Highever, despite the whole "Hey, I'll come with you when you do that" option you can pick in Origins.

It was? What was said? Was there any indication that it would be anything like Origins is style, or are they sticking to the DA2 model?

Hey Alistairians! Well...hopefully they blend good things about da2 with good things about Origins, but tbh? I hope for a new hero. I like new stories, new lis...etc. Plus if they bring back Alistair and it's Hawke again....it kinda ruins stuff for the Warden, same as the warden being the hero and bringing say...Anders or Fenris back. There is potential for continuity being ruined (see Awakening)

Just my opinion of course, I love Alistair and Anders, but don't really wanna see them return, unless their other half is the hero. Does that makes sense?

Seeker, huh? Since the first time I saw her I wanted to play as Cassandra, that would be cool. Honestly, I would love nothing more to see the return of the warden and Alistiar, but like Cme said, it MUST be together or no thanks. Same goes for Hawke.

Well if the Dragon Age dev team are anything like the Mass Effect dev team then they’ll look at what the fans disliked about both games and then go about combining the best features from both games. But then again with DA2 they changed pretty much everything and didn’t really keep anything of origins, they even retconned some of the lore, so they might go about things very differently…

As for Alistair, if he comes back as a playable character then the warden definitely has to come back, and to be honest considering the amount of importance placed on both Hawke and the Warden at the end of DA2 I can see them bringing both back, my only worry is if the warden is brought back how they’re going to manage dialogue. As much as I wish they would I highly doubt they’ll go back to a silent PC. Also if Sandal’s little comment in DA2 is in anyway related to the OGB then Alistair/Loghain/Warden will have to be involved in some way.

Well, the warden actually doesn't. Even if they're married, they aren't joined at the hip. If it took place in Orlais, for example, Alistair could be there for political reasons while the warden could be somewhere else. Besides, the warden disappeared, so....

I find it unlikely that I'll be interested in DA3 as I was so utterly unimpressed with DA2 in any way. Any inclusion of DA2 changes would be bad in my books. I can't think of a single thing I found better. Alistair's presence as a playable character, or very important NPC, is about the only thing that might convince me to buy it. I'm assuming that the Warden won't appear, of course.

If the next game is around Cassandra as a seeker, I think I would like that. I would also say that Alistair as King would almost surely have to put in an appearance since it would clearly be all about the different alignments pro mage or pro Chantry and he has clearly thrown in his crown with the first while Orlais is going for the second.

As warden possibly too since the GWs will be pitched in the middle of the conflict...
