It has always been my opinion no one can wear the Warden commander armor like Alistair. And no one in the game ever has. If for some reason, I am not going to put it on Alistair, I sell it off. It's blasphemous for me to do otherwise.:wub:

Did this bother anyone else? After Alistair sacrifices himself, none of the party members mention the loss as it related to the warden being in a relationship with him, even though both Leliana and Wynne talk to you and Alistair about it throughout the game. I just wished there had been at least one line of compassion for <my> loss instead of the 'well let's stop chatting so you can go enjoy the celebration!' I just wanted to *punch* *cry* *scream* "I don't want to sodding celebrate!"

Hell yes. My Warden was like "why are you morons calling me hero when your would be king is the one who ended the Blight with his whole existance?" It was one thing I was disappointed with that there was not more post Coronation aknowledgement of this. I mean, even if he wasn't king and was just a Warden, yeah, you'd think leliana or Wynne would give more sorriful aknowledgement that he was gone. And, if he was designated king but did the deed, well...... but, yeah, I know the sentiment. It's not like generic red shirt warden did the deed.

I'm glad to see others love Alistair. Makes me realise I'm not totally insane... Yet.

He is an beautifully portrayed character and the different endings to his story are so well put together.

I think it shameful that Bioware never so much as bothered to put his picture on a T-Shirt. There you go... Unappreciated even by his creators....

it's a crime, I agree. Alistair was one of two companions who had a central stake in the story, you'd think there would be more aknowledgement of this. Oh, well.

The important thing is, we still love Alistair. We shall spam his image, mutant or no, to show our love:wub::wub:

I replayed the entire Denerim ending last night and left Alistair out of the party so that I would be the one to die instead of him. That was a touching speech he made... but I have to stay true to what I originally would have done which was to remain spoiler free and he dies, so that's the import I'm taking into Awakenings. *sadface* Oh well. I understand when I play a female noble I'll be able to get that happy ending eventually.

Having been so inspired by this game, I decided to try my hand at some fanart. Haven't put pencil to paper in about 10 years but this is already fun. Can I make a specific picture request?

What I need are action shots of Alistair in warden armor. Specifically looking for a shot from the front where his legs are in a wide stance (that sounds so naughty) and a shot of his arms from a side angle or overhead angle.

If I shouldn't be asking for that here, no worries. thanks!

My opinion of him as a person has not changed, but my appreciation for him as a character has increased after recent experiences.

Alistair is just all around a nice guy. I can live with his faults, they don't repulse me away, haha. I think that is why he is such a special character, to me, anyway.

You just enjoy coming for the frequent depravity.

But yeah, I know what you're saying. Faults and all, love, hate, or don't care, he was written pretty three dimensionally, in comparison to other more recent examples.

And from the perspective of inasane, hormonally charged females, well, he's a pixelated chick magnet. Moobs and all.:wub:

Zat is a most smexy shot.  Even in templar armor, Alistair can make the most anti-templar mage squee is delight. :wub::wub:

@meg—Alistair has faults?!?! (I know, I know…I'm just blind to them, and/or my Wardens have the same ones.)

@Cypher—Blightblood is a cursed darkspawn sword from the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC.

@Skadi—I used to always equip him in templar & then Knight Commander armor. Given his abilities and their stats, it just seemed "wrong" not to. (I've snapped out of it since.)

That is rak's (I swap Alistair out around midway through the game...) but there's an earring-less version? I futzed around in the toolset to get rid of the earring from the version I have...
