I've been seduced by FF12 for the last few days and haven't played any DA:O at all Sorry Alistair! (but I'm getting a new desktop computer for my birthday, with a halfway decent video card, so I'll actually be able to play Dragon Age at a high resolution without the graphics settings all down to "low"... about dang time, I say!)
Also, just figured out where all my screenshots are - needless to say, I'll be taking some more soon. I'll probably play all the way through again once I get my new computer So excited!
I think I'll have another try at a fem!Cousland... although it's really freaking difficult now that I've been spoiled by the joys of being a mage. I've gotten so lazy that I'll look at a mob and automatically go for the AoE button, only to discover that oh noes! I'm playing a rogue... no fireballs for me

Lately I've been trying to pace myself with the Alistair romance. Usually I just cycle through all the flirt dialogues as soon as we finish Ostagar, basically speeding my way through the early stages and up to the confession, but I realize that RP-wise, it really isn't realistic to just sit there mashing through conversation after conversation when we have a Blight to stop. Especially with a PC who's just lost her entire family, or a similar recent tragedy. Sooo... only allowing myself to do one or two conversations per main quest.
On another note, can anyone recommend any good Alistair fanfiction? I'm thinking of getting back into writing some myself... but the seductive lure of video games is still too strong for now. Sitting down and cranking out chapters requires some serious willpower.

Coincidence…I've been getting tired of the state of the fanfiction world…fractured among so many sites, unorganized, untagged, no ratings, etc. etc. etc. I started a new Delicious account and am putting my favorite Alistair fanfic in there and tagging it carefully. Granted, it's my favorite fanfic, so your mileage may vary, and I'm just getting started, and most of the stuff in there so far is short and smexy rather than long and not smexy. But I'm going to keep at it, and least it won't be full of unfinished stuff like the kink!meme's Delicious archive is.

Ooh, I just read the first two and they're simply stunning. I love your style of writing. Of course, the first one was very sad, but that was to be expected with that particular premise. I'm not going to read the third one just yet because I haven't played DA2 (my computer is too much of a dinosaur to handle it, so I have to wait until I get a new one), and I'm stubbornly avoiding any spoilers for the time being. Thanks! I'm trying to learn the toolset, and she was my first project. I do like that profile shot, but most of the time her skin tone is too "glowy" and I think she's sort of cross-eyed. (And is Alistair perpetually bloodspattered and pissed-off from the moment he enters Denerim, or what?)

Call me strange, but I've always LOVED the way the Warden looks in that shot (when you shank the prisoner at Ostagar for his key). It just looks so badass for some reason, like they're trying to hold back a smirk. I've taken to doing just that before I pick up Alistair, even though it makes me feel a bit guilty. BTW, your elf is really pretty. Her face just seems so symmetrical somehow <3
