@Maria Ooh, want to read that. I got a little curious about Ali/Lels after his suggestive banter about how bards achieve their goals, and then more so after seeing Lel's codex in Darkspawn Chronicles. (Hmm, Alistair, what has my little Warden been up to in his alternate reality?) I have a half-written one lying around somewhere. Though she drives me batty with her chatter, their personality types are actually quite compatible, I think. Both idealistic, warm, and caring.

@Rage Zevran too? That is really cool. I do like seeing all the experiences to get to know the characters better, just wish it didn't take so long. But why is Alistair a horndog? He still only asks once, like everybody else, and makes you wait an eternity if you go that route ;-)

Edit: ToP! I don't think I've used this one before, but maybe a similar one…

alisgirl, it's some of the things after you get him there that I see him being one. The way he reacts when you talk to him after the first tent time (which might have been the mod), the banter between the warden and Leliana about his "performance" and a few other little things like that. Leliana is also one after you get her to the tent. Like Alistair it takes forever to get her there, but every time after that first time her response is "I thought you'd never ask". ;)

Removed in retrospect, for pointlessness.

Though he doesn't start that banter about his performance, and says "Oh, Maker! What is WRONG with you women?!" when he figures it out. Yes, I don't remember what's "him" and what's IRS-A anymore…

I did enjoy romancing Leliana with my male Dalish…really need to finish that PT one of these days. And my Aedan is going to dump Morrigan for her at the last minute, so the DR isn't so painful. But then maybe he'll marry Anora. Aaaargh… my husband still has no idea just how "huge" this game is.

My husband knows. He kind of put it together on his own. I neither hid it it from him, nor offered extra information. He doesn't seem to care, really. He just teases me that I can't get mad if there are hot chicks in his games...which I never have. He only plays car games anyways, so the hot chicks are only ever in there to start the race. :-P Some threat. I think he realizes that it probably benefits him more, anyways.

Exaaaaactly…though mine is so sensitive, he would be bothered by that. I told him to go play DA and have a great time, hoping the same thing would happen to him with Morrigan or Leliana, but sadly, it didn't. I didn't hide it from mine to be spiteful or sneaky or anything. I was just too embarrassed to bring it up. Kept hoping he would ask, actually.

My husband is very clear on the fact that my Alistair infatuation ultimately benefits him.

Promise I'll post a link when fill is complete. Ali/Leli is actually much more fun that I anticipated... I think it may well be because of an underlying compatibility...

I think they're also compatible on religious grounds: Trainee Templar + Lay sister (Seeker?) although they're both believers neither of them have much time for prevailing Chantry religious orthodoxy which is curious...

alisgirl, but it's what the warden and Leliana say to each other...like maybe rabbits would be jealous by some of the options. lol

and my gf likes Alistair, Loghain, Teagan, Fenris, and it doesn't really bother me. Of course I knew of these beforehand. ;)

@Maria—Exactly, that's part of the idealism I was referring to…they are believers at a fundamental level, but uninterested in the Chantry's made-up rules and regulations… (I see it as an N rather than an S interpretation of the value of religion, in MBTI terms…) Can't wait to see it!

@Rage—I must have missed that one. Innnnteresting :-) And yes, I would imagine it would be easier to date someone who already belongs to a fandom with romantic under-/over-/all-over- tones…

Gah. If the toolset didn't hate Windows 7/my computer, I could just look up the rooftop dialogue.

Ah... I don't mean to offend... I am not an Ali/Leli shipper... But they just seem to work when I'm writing them, 'tis all.

Doesn't mean anyone here has to like it.

I dodn't know where else to ask, so I'll ask you guys this:

Will Alistair ever forgive me if I spare Loghain in the Landsmeet. I made him King with Anora and was gonna recruit Loghain in my party, but since my warden is bro with Alistair and wouldn't want him to hate my warden for the rest of his life, so I'm just asking if he ever fogives you for it? Or will he always be such rude to me?

He seems slightly less bitter if Loghain sacrifices himself to kill the archdemon. Also, no matter what, he seems cordial enough in Awakening.

It's worth it to do it at least once just to hear him rant after the Landsmeet and his bitter, bitter sarcasm at the post-coronation party, even if Loghain dies.

And then reload.

If you pick the sarcastic dialogue option in his Awakening cameo ("Try not to look so disappointed"), he responds like he's still mad at you.

I like to think that at some point he and the Warden could be friends again if Loghain dies killing the archdemon. If Loghain lives, who knows. That's a lot for Alistair to forgive.

And does anybody know the answer to my rooftop dialogue question? I knew I shouldn't have posted it on a Thursday...

If you mean his "believe me, I'll get over it" comment, he says that even if he beheded Loghain himself. Alistair just enjoys being a smartass.

Alistair/Leliana... *shudders* I'm not a Leliana-hater like a lot of people. My Wardens usually end up becoming pretty good friends with her, and I'd probably get along just fine with her in real life. But I do have issues with anyone who touches my Alistair. </possessive rant> Probably why the DR bothers me so much, really...

However, I do have to admit that the Alistair/Leliana pairing in Darkspawn Chronicles makes sense. In fact, I'm rather glad that in an alternate universe where my Warden died, it would turn out that way - because I think it would be best for Alistair. Leliana would keep him sane and ultimately preserve his morals and core "goodness", which might otherwise have been corrupted by the tough decisions he'd be forced to make in the Warden's absence. Anyway, it's better than if he'd hooked up with Morrigan or something... any of my Wardens in love with Alistair would shudder at the thought of leaving him at the mercy of Morrigan's master manipulation and utter lack of scruples, even if they get along with her on general principle... So a tryst with Leliana is the lesser of two evils, really.

At long last, I finally ordered Awakening :D It was on sale new on Amazon for $10 with just one copy left, so naturally I snatched it up. Now I have to write a thank-you email to my older brother for sending me that Amazon gift card for my birthday... I'm nearing the end of my first DA:O playthrough on my new computer, and I should finish by next Tuesday, which is when my copy of Awakening is due to arrive - perfect timing!

In other news, all this talk of husbands is making me feel like a child... (doesn't help that I'm still not even allowed to ride public transportation without an adult escort... :?)

Lol, no offense was taken, Maria. I just don't see it as a good pairing for either of them, too much puppies and rainbows for either of their own good.

And...you know there is also a little bit of "keep you claws away from my Ali!" Image IPB

Sorry got caught up in real life stuff the last days, so I wasn't really much online. However, I'm simple that brazen and start giving a prompt.

Wait, I'm a little confused by this whole prompt business. Do we just write something related to the prompt and post it here? Sorry, I'm a noob about forum affairs :P
