Thanks for the praise, once more. You really want to get me blushing, huh?  Btw, the next update will be Monday, I think. I'm not so fixed on a certain publishing day, but I have to answer a ton of reviews first. So I will seize the weekend for it and update afterward. I try to keep the weekly update schedule upright, though, and so far it works well. 

Thanks for the info!  I will definitely be looking forward to it - and all future installments.

I've just recently noticed how incredible Alistair looks while fighting. I love watching him in motion. But that also means that I'm getting VERY distracted while staring at him, and keep dying myself.


I'm going to the Dragon Age panel at NYCC tomorrow. I wonder if I can sneak in questions relating to Alistair, even though its focus is supposed to be the new expansion for DA2... Hmmm. :innocent:

He is great in movement. Alistair is just a damned well put together character. Great visuals a very deep personality, complete backstory, great lines... And the voice. Bioware hit magic here and I don't think they quite realised how well they had done.

Anyways, Pen, may I suggest you ask something like, "Alistair as king of Ferelden is canon right? Any chance well see the impact of what's happening in the Free Marches on him and Ferelden?" Or something of the kind.

Hey, I wanted to show you something.  I was making a dice character the other day, and used random number generators to make my character (i have a scaaaaary CC morph file - had to go in the 100's for the random number generator.)  I was deathly afraid of what it would look like, but i ended up with this:

My badass male mage Randy.

When he rolled up bald, I felt like I just had to show you, since you have a stated bias.   That is all.

I dunno, when I think of 'someone's past' as a storyline tag, I think of something in their actual lifetime.  But he was born, got scuttled to Eamon, then the chantry, then became a Warden, so kind of hard to imagine what timeline could happen there that would stipulate a setting of Antiva, of all places.  Why not Zevran?

Fiona does come to mind, but she was Orlesian.  Where does Antiva enter into it?  And dragons?

Gosh darn it, at least make the tease make sense, Gaider!   *huff huff*

Hmmmm, new Alistair stuff. That's a good thing in my book. We have been wondering for quite some time who his mother is, haven't we?

I'm not too fond of the picture, though. Varric looks suspiciously like a Goblin the Cryptkeeper to me and there's something about Alistair's features that reminds me of his godawful piggy-nosed DA2 morph.

I'll admit, Varric's posture makes me giggle.  "I'm hot s***, yo."

And, if it does answer the question of who Alistair's mother is once and for according to lore, at least some questions would go away.  Like I said before, though, not sure how Fiona and Antiva go together...  Although I would hope for a Zevran cameo if nothing else.

When you look at Maric....errr no. I guess Alistair is only holding up a family tradition, or something like that.

That being said, I'm not surprised to see it is King Alistair, since Bioware never made a secret out of it how much they prefer that fate for him. Meh. And why does nobody thinks on the OGB when hearing dark secret? It was the first thing that sprang to my mind, actually. Although a story line about Fiona would be welcomed too.

Well, I take it for what it is: A nice lore addition to rip these parts out I could possible seize for my (possible) following FF- sequel. *shrug*

Alistair face looks horrid, btw. I see they are following DA2 tradition here. Ugh.

Grrrrr. That's why I thought it couldn't be King Alistair.  Now I'm even more leery, Gaider or no.  What is the King of Fereldan doing going to Antiva???

Speculation in other threads say that a Witch of the Wilds is also mentioned.  So now Flemeth, Morrigan, and/or OGB are now to be brought in the mix too?

Hmmm.... actually, that sounds fun to speculate about... even if it does fit into an unhardened 'gadding about' King Alistair mentioned in one of the epilogue slides...

Meh, that's what I get for avoiding Twitter like the plague.

Actually, is OGB canon for DA:O?  I honestly don't know.

I wasn't a fan of his armor, either, it looks... froofy?

Supposedly there isn't supposed to be a "canon" in DA...but lately with DA2 and the new comic and books...looks like they are heading into canon territory despite claims to the contrary.  <_<

I would think it's hard to not have a canon as soon as you release a material that can't have data imported into it.  I mean, what would be explanation behind this comic for all those players who chose to kill Alistair?
