My favorite armor for her!  I think it's an essential armor for a rogue, possibly warrior.

It's the Phoenix Armory for females mod.  I use it in conjunction with the Universal Dye Kit to make it blue (so it, like, matches her radical bandanna, ya know?)

Here's the bare midriff/lighter version:

Here is the more 'full' armor version:

Thanks for all the wonderful Alistair pictures that swooped in at just the right time. ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who completely and utterly missed the entire Dairren sub-plot in the HNF origin. He actually creeped me out and so I didn't even know the Couslands had a library until I read about it here.

Now if Alistair had come to visit instead... I'm sure we would have found the library.

@BevH - It occurred to me that the disparity in your PC's accrual of EXP and Alistair's may be attributable to codex entries. IIRC, only the player receives EXP for acquiring an entry. (50 EXP, I think, unless you are wearing the Archivist's Sash, which increases the EXP by some amount - half, maybe?)

Or maybe I'm totally mis-remembering how it works... Anyone?

*has just returned home and looks into the Alistair thread*

I mean I haven't read all yet, but six whole sites of bickering after I left?

Wow, you guys have been busy *sigh*

As for the Cousland topic, ..and to share something actual constructive:

I'm not a huge Cousland/Alistair fan either because that pairing is way too overdone in fanfictions and such (which stories often ends with the Queen ending. Bleh.)  Hence I just find that pairing boring/bland, but that is just a personal preference and if that is your thing...more power to you. I will not say how you have to play the game, just give you reasons why I am not so fond of it.

I'm not into noble families or the politics of Ferelden, nor do I have the desire for a Queen ending. Been there, done that in my first game, but I liked the other (following) endings a lot more. So Cousland is therefore far from being my favorite origin, as I'm a total elf (Dalish) girl and love the drama/conflicts it creates. ...But then others might dislike the elves. I roll my eyes at the 594593. story of Cousland/Alistair and click the back button, you may think Mahariel/Alistair OMG  Taste varies and differs, it is only normal.

But that doesn't mean I need to hate it, or something. When I'm playing a Cousland, she gets paired up with Zevran, because I wuv this pairing and dynamic. Also I will have a Cousland in my story later on, but she will be different from the army of standard Elissa's out there, Oh yeah B) :D

Sorry if the wording is a bit clunky still and please do take no offense. 18 kids have turned my brain to mush today, after all. :pinched:

I don't think the codex xp is what does it. It always seemed like Alistair got the xp as well, but maybe I wasn't really paying attention. And, yes, there are a couple of items that increases the xp acquired from codex entries, but I'm not sure by how much as I've never worn any of them.

*Leaves picture in because it's Awesome Alistair*

I missed Dairren the first time through. It was my daughter that told me about the fun you could have with him. (Yes, I'm older than dirt - lol)I usually don't follow through on anything with him, but it's sure fun to tell him that your favorite book is basically a Kama Sutra! Posted Image

Alistair and Cullen? Some mages are just spoiled.

She has a Templar fetish (and is currently at -45 hostile with Morrigan).

Well now, who can blame her for the templar fetish, given those two? I mean, yum. ;3

I have to say, DAO had a lot of  TILFs - Ser Bryant, The red head who tells Ser Bryant you killed the bandits, Ser Otto, the guy who said jumping out of the window usually doesn't end well...

Just as an aside, the bickering wasn't over whether Cousland is a superior origin or anything like that (As I've said before, she's not even my canon pairing with Alistair), it was ShimmeringDjinn deciding to shame women who like sex and condemning the origin (that she never played!) just because, I suspect, I posted a picture with a Cousland in it and she wanted to "get back" at me.

People don't like the Cousland/Alistair pairing because it's been overdone? I agree, it's been done to death so many times even I got sick of the pairing, and I started off loving it. And that's to everyone else's different tastes and all.

But I didn't appreciate her going out of her way to paint sexuality as a negative thing (nevermind that she was inaccurate at best about whether or not Cousland was a "hoe"). And all of the other nastiness she was implying about someone who indulges in sex being disloyal, unfaithful liars that would force Alistair to raise bastard children, or something like that.

*shrug* But as for liking Princess Couscous as an Origin? That's sooo up to individual tastes. Me, I'll stick with my Amell/Alistair and be content. :3

And to keep the post fully on-topic, enjoy some Alistair being suspicious of Morrigan, in his fancy new Grey Warden duds.

To be fair, I think what people are tired of isn't the pairing, it's the fact that some people insist it is the *only* 'happy ending' for Alistair/F!Warden when in fact, it's just 'their' happy ending for Alistair/F!Warden.  My happy ending is Grey Warden run off into the sunset ending, other people like the mistress ending.  (Although I LOVE LOVE LOVE DahliaLynn's Wedding mod... :wub::wub:)

Although, it was thinking about the whole semi-cliche nature of the HNF origin that created Dailana Cousland (as an antidote to the 'full fantasy'), and I, like, can't , like object to *that* because, like, she'd go all totally weird and, like, maybe break a nail, and then, like... well...

It would be bad.

But I find I can't begrudge other people their love of the Cousland/Alistair pairing.  A lot of little girls in the world do dream of their prince growing up (although I dreamed of killing dragons, but that's another story for another time), and it must be nice, after a hard day's work/being a mother/whatever, to be able to fire up the game and have your sweet prince at your side... for a little while...

*Sigh* look at me... all sentimental... <3

Just to add my 2 cents: I absolutely love the Cousland origin (it's def my canon) but more than that I love Ali as king because of the story from his perspective. I love stories of reluctant kings, of men who have to grow up and mature as people and people who lead not because they want to but because they have to. Alistair reminds me so much of Maric; Maric's incredulity at the thought of being a leader, comparing himself to his mother etc. It doesn't help that I love political stories (and there will be TONS of that in my story) and I love how in the end Alistair ends up wanting to be king and, when hardened, doing a good job. I felt like a proud mama when I saw that.

Anyway, my thoughts :)
