Indeed.

The biggest reason for me though and what i think it's what cause a good chunk of the emotional attachment, it's the Voice Acting.

all of the Companions have strong Voice acting(Millions of times better than any other NPC), but the Romancable ones are simply incredible("You are my Grey Warden, and our savior. Win this war for us my love and...come home" - Leliana:wub:)

The voice acting is incredible. Apart from Alistair, I like Zevrans voice acting. Its the accent.

Well said, csft...the voice was what grabbed my attention to Leliana...and then the animations fit well especially during her love confession speech. (playing with her hands and swinging back and forth...she was nervous and even looked it)

I accidently broke up with Alistair one time (clicked the wrong option ) and he looks like a lost puppy.

To answer the US question: in some ways I see the US ending and the WC ending as the most *accurate* endings for an Alistair romance game (not necessarily the happiest). I've done both, several times, and in some ways I see the US as the far worse ending for Alistair than the WC ending.


@ Meri - I don't think many here would mind Alistair's occaisional absentmindedness it that is the result.

I think the Ultimate Sacrifice is best too for the Alistair romance - it soo dramatic which I like. I did it coz he dumped me, and Morrigan left and Zevran bailed so I was pretty emotionally bent - but I really loved that a game could touch me like that - like being a character in the movie and you get to write it how you want it.

I really hope BIOWARE do another just like DAO and move away from the DA2/Mass Effect style
