It is really very good.

And Alistair is well-portrayed, obviously he's a bit angsty but his humour does show through.

It is a good comic and Alistair is well-portrayed but I can't say that I'm a fan of the art style. Makes all of the character's look very harsh, especially varric, and it makes Alistair look very old in certain panels.

Finally getting around to a second Alistair romance (I had to try out a few of the others even though he spoiled me on the first PT, the others don't hold a candle to him). Also doing a human noble run so warden can have a happy ending this time even though it means having to do the DR.

Maker, it's just as good as the first time. Makes me weak in the knees when he went in for that first kiss with the warden. Got the 'so I fooled you did I' line which I missed the first time around.

He was quite pleased with his performance, almost as much as I was



I usually put him in the battledress of the provocateur, think he looks quite dashing in it.

I have a little question about romance with Alistair. As i only played an Alistair romance with a noble woman i know only in theory that the romance with a non-noble ends if he becomes king.
Here's my question: is there a real scene in the game with Alistair dismissing his non-noble consort? I more than once read in fanfic about Alistair dismissing her not very nice in front of the whole group. Is there really such a scene existing in the game? Does perhaps anyone know a video about that?

It's possible to continue the romance if you pick the right options. To answer your question, though, yes Alistair will break up with a non-noble pretty much in front of the entire group. The scene takes place right after the Landsmeet. Sorry I don't have a link to any video, but I'm sure at least one is out there.

I did a quick youtube search and only found one alistair dump vid but it was modded and he took it back. If you can't find one I'll see if I can redo my first PT part and load it up (I'm on console so no mods).

Yes, that video is with a hardened *gigglesnort* Alistair. The mod they were working on was a dialogue fix. So the scene is unaltered. With the unhardened *gigglesnort* Alistair, the scene is the same, it just ends before you get the options that will continue the romance.

Basically it's the same scene you get with a HNF except with some variation of dialogue and you cannot talk him out of the breakup.

wish I could help @PlainOLJane2 but I haven't done the Alistair warden ending yet.

He does look mighty good in that Warden Commander armor though, oh who am I kidding, he looks fantastic in anything.

Just got through the landsmeet with my first human noble PT and am at Redcliff. Who else has a hard time going through with the DR? I planned this PT so I could get the happy 'married' ending but... urgh, don't want to make Ali have to do the DR, would *almost* rather sacrafice myself than make him do that. But then he would end up alone on the throne (unhardened even) and which is the worse ending? sigh. I saved and will finish this decision tomorrow.

With one of my PTs I had a funny situation at that point. One of my mods (thought to allow females to court Morrigan) caused Morrigan to propose the DR to my female warden. I had an active romance with Alistair and was unable to shove Morrigan into Alistair's bedchamber because the mod made Morrigan think my warden would be a man.

And the armor on the picture is great.

Sure, this is independent of you romancing him or not. If you make Anora Queen, he stays a Warden since he is not king, easy as.

No, never had any doubts about the DR, if I'm honest. Sure it is not the smartest thing to do, since you know so little about what the baby will be and cause in the future...but that is as it says...in the future. So my policy is here quite frankly: If the apocalypse comes, beep me. *shrug*

As for shoving him into another woman's bed, well he really don't want to and is very reluctantly to *that* which oddly makes it easier for me to be pro DR. Because I would have had more issues with it when he would shrug and say "why not, she is hot," Either way, petty jealousy is not a good reason for me to let him or my Warden die instead of enduring one single night of meaningless, yucky sex. In exchange they have the rest of their shortened life for and with each other. I may have a bit too practical sight on it, but hey life is full of sacrifices. Thus, I rather make the small than the big one, then.

Dark Ritual... my little Surana looked so scared, shocked and disgusted, crawling away from Morrigan on the bed that I felt sorry for her. It would have probably been more merciful if I sent her to Alistair - at least he wasn't gay like Surana.

Lol, thanks. Now I feel like curling into a ball...after I clawed my eyes out, of course. *bleaches brain*xD I don't get this pairing or the odd fascination thereof. It just makes no sense. None at all, as they both hate each other. Also my number one DA:O pet peeve by now.

Or how Gaider once answered on the question what's his opinion of Morrigan/Alistair being paired up is: "Do that far away from me, please." (paraphrased)

Lol sorry for that. I'm not wild about that pairing either, though I can see why some people like it - there seems to be so much UST between them. ^^ In fact, Alistair - Morrigan makes much bigger sense to me than Alistair - Leliana (and yes, I've seen such stories).

Yep, this is what I mean. I for myself don't see any and I repeat ANY UST between Morrigan and Alistair. At all. It is pure and simple dislike and it annoys me that people read much more into this as there really *is*. (Major pet peeve and not only in this fandom. Every character hating each other just want secretly into each others pants. Yeah, right.) At best there can be begrudging respect for each other, but never a friendship, least of all a romantic, fluffy relationship.

Sorry how people are capable to see more to this...just breaks my brain. O__O (But to each their own, I guess)

As for Leliana/Alistair...well, I do see a hint of chance for a romance here, if the Warden has...other interests. They are very similar in beliefs and moral, after all. But then again their romance would be so sugary sweet that I would feel the need to run away screaming, as well. Especially with unhardened Alistair/Leliana. Ugh. Overall I see them having a good and healthy Big sister/ little brother relationship going on. And it is better this way.

you have a point.
I've only done the DR twice in my PTs, one warden in romance with Morrigan and one made Alistiar do it but she was in romance with Zevran - I usually refuse it because of fear of the OGB and the actual motives behind it and what is in store for Thedas down the line.

I am hesitant to make this warden do it, but then again I can be a raging jealous fangirl ('No morrigan, sorry he's *MINE*')  - but as you state, if he shows reluctance.. well I'll play it tonight and see how it goes. I think it will be worth it to keep them together...
