Yeah he has blue eyes, I tend to think the orange hair is more lighting... Artist's licence. After his depiction in DA2, it's actually a relief.

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing - that the orange hair might just be lighting or something. I agree though - I really like the comic and small annoyances aside am really looking forward to more of it! I love Alistair in here, the plot is interesting and the comic is definitely worth the 99 cent per issue. The art matters a lot less to me than the plot itself. I have seen better art in comics before but I think the art in this comic is fine. But this is, as you say, a matter of taste and I think what is the focus, which for me is the plot, Alistair and the scripting (the banter in it has been awesome thus far) - not necessarily in that order .

Yes, Alistair is well written, older, wiser, dignified and not a charicature... I also <3<3 Izzy and Varric...

 I just got up to meeting DA2 Alistair (as the Warden cameo) and he refered to my Warden as "old friend" rather than the "love of my life."

I had imported a save directly from Origins, at the Post Cornation, with a Dalish Elf, still in a romance with Alistair. Is this the dialogue I was supposed to get in this scene or is this an import issue of some kind? Should I have imported from Awakening instead?

I just took a look at mine, and I got the "old friend". My criteria was the Dalish elf, active romance, but I don't recall if I hardened Alistair or not. I only have a save just after they leave Goldanna's house, so I don't know (and don't remember) if I did or not.

Isabela always leaves the party at that point no matter what. But the fact of Alistair being hardened or not may, indeed, have something to do with which line you get. At least that's what I'm thinking at this point.

Edit to add: Erm... just noticed that TSM said that her Alistair was unhardened... so maybe not...

It might, although I've never had a problem with plot flags on the King Alistair imports.

Thanks for the link Wulfram. I wish I could use mods, but being on a console I'm stuck. I plan on getting a new computer soon, but I don't really want to play DA2 again, so I was hoping to just hear the correct line this first time.

Alistair is the Warden Alistair in my game. He came by during the Qunari invasion, said his old friend line and then left. Oh, and I had sent Bethany to the Circle, so no siblings were in the scene, if that could affect it.

I read some other people having this problem, but the threads I found were 12 months old, and patches were mentioned to have fixed it, so I'm really confused why it's not accurate for me.

Edit: I had Alistair at 100% approval, as well as romanced, with the save file I imported from Origins.

I, too, had Alistair at 100% and romanced. Bethany became a warden, so I don't think that's the reason. I'll just figure it's the very buggy import system.

The Warden Alistair dialogue is bugged. You guys should have gotten the "love of my life" dialogue, it's not a import issue.

It's definitely a bug. Happened to me too. The only way I can get him to acknowledge me is importing a Queen Cousland save. Sigh. But you know, that picture does help.

Yeah she expects him to confide in what they are going after in the first place but that seems normal given that they are helping him get it - and risking their lives for it - and she jokes around that she'll be able to swim in the amount of money and jewels he'll give her for helping him which doesn't come across as intimate to me. He puts his cloak on her but that seems like an Alistair the gentleman thing rather than this was my lover thing (at least it seemed that way to me). This. I took their relationship as a) Alistair being a gentleman, as per the usual (when he puts his cloak around her - although not gonna lie, I was a little jealous of her in that moment) and possibly having had the background where the threesome in the Pearl occurred. But I didn't take it as them being in a relationship at all. If Alistair didn't act like a sweetheart, especially around a pretty girl, he wouldn't be Alistair. And I'm pretty sure David Gaider said on Twitter that the Warden isn't going to be mentioned in context of her/his relationship to Alistair on purpose, so in my head, he is still King Alistair and my Cousland is Queen, off doing something Warden-y somewhere while he takes care of this little problem.
