Hello again, lovely Alistair fans! I have a few more questions, if anyone is inclined...
I have been playing this warden very slowly this time (this is the first time playing DAO on the PC; originally played DAO on the xbox....5 complete play throughs, 2 half finished....). As such (and with the help of mods), I have gotten to see more out of the game, than I did as an xbox player...woot! (not to mention....it is MUCH prettier...heh!)
Because of this, I have deviated from my original storyline for my Warden. This deviation caused me to NOT choose the flirt option I usually use to initiate the romance (the option that is available after giving Alistair his mother's locket).
So now I went through the Wiki, because I could have sworn there was a flirt option from one of the dialogue points, that has a more....hmmmm....."natural" feel to it (vs say the "Do you know your handsome?" dialogue). I thought there was a flirt line (to activate the romance) in both the Rose dialogue and the dialogue he eventually starts when hardening him. It is possible I just missed reading it on the Wiki (that happens a lot to me....hehe, bloody page can get a bit screwy on the eyes), but I thought I might ask if anyone here knows of a good flirt option, that doesn't sound quite so "obviously" flirty.....if that makes any sense. Considering how I am RPing this Warden, she is a bit more on the subtle side right now (though I see her growing bolder as time goes on....hence why she will end things with Alistair eventually, press him to be King, and take up with Zev. She's gonna be a busy girl. HA!)
Thank you all in advance for any insight, and for reading my blatherings!
I rarely use the "handsome" line to initiate the romance. (And, held in reserve, I find it
very useful for emergencies that require 'fixing' a broken romance later in the game... like when I accidentally order him to marry Anora, for example.

)
Alistair only offers the rose if he is at Care (i.e. the romance has already been initiated), so there isn't a romance starter line in there, AFAIK. (Though there are romance killers a-plenty.

)
The line in the initial hardening conversation is under one of the non-hardening trees (Tell him he has people who care for him, and then choose the one that is something like "I care for you. More than you know.")
I like to use the romance starter in his Redcliffe daddy reveal ("You're here with me. I think I'm the lucky one."), or the ones in his plot gift conversations - telling him you care or that he's special usually gets him going. <3
