I just got to that question in Lothering. My Warden said she would go with him, and then I wondered if it would make a difference. Does your Warden have to be at adore or something when she says she'll go with him for that flag to be set? Or is there no flag for that dialogue?
Has there ever been a mod that fixes/adds the epilogue slide for Alistair going to Highever to honor Duncan?
I couldn't find any derpy pictures, but here's one of Alistair and my mage outside Lothering. I forgot how pretty the foliage is there. I like the windmill too.

Also, I may just be noticing this more on the PC, but the fire in camp flickers really fast on the companions faces. It's really distracting. Could there be a mod I installed by mistake that is making the flickers more obvious?

I'm not sure what you're asking, Penarddun, but I always get the slide where Alistair goes to place the memorial. The one I've only gotten once is the one that says the warden goes with him. I don't remember the parameters where I got that... and maybe that's the problem. Or maybe I'm simply remembering it wrong and I never got it... just wishful thinking.
Yep, that's exactly it. I added IRS in and the optional epilogue fix. But I wasn't sure if that was enough to get the slide to pop where the Warden goes with him. I guess I'll find out at the end.
And the firelight thing is just the flickering light animation. It's very fast, to the point of making my eyes twitch. I'm thinking I added a mod that made the fire look more "real" and it is giving me troubles.

I just took a look in the toolset, and couldn't find a slide for the Warden going with him. Does such a thing exist? *confused*

I don't know. It could just be wishful thinking... or someone modded in another epilogue slide or changed the wording of one slightly?
It's such a small thing but it always seemed odd to me that if the PC says she is going to come with him during that initial dialogue, there is no reason she wouldn't go, especially if they decided on the "traveling" ending.

There are two slides, depending on the fate of the Warden. (Grrrr. Why does the toolset take so long to open?):
"He traveled to Duncan's birthplace, and there placed a small monument in the man's memory. Where he went afterwards is unknown." (That one seems to be triggered by the Warden being dead, and Alistair has to be a Warden.)
"As for (The Warden)'s companions, they went their separate ways. Alistair was relieved to be away from court at last and returned with his love to help rebuild the Grey Wardens. He left her side only briefly, to return to Duncan's home and plant a small memorial." (If the Warden lives, and Alistair remains a Warden.)

I guess if the Warden does not choose to Rebuild the Wardens, and instead goes travelling, Duncan's home is never mentioned.

Hmm... those sound like they should be found in "always". But the last bit I've had trigger even when Alistair was king (and Cousland married him). Seems like I need to do some more digging to find it then.theskymoves wrote...

"As for Sarima's companions, they went their separate ways. King Alistair remained in Denerim with his bride, leaving her side only briefly, to return to Duncan's home and plant a small memorial."
Edit to add: But I'm almost positive that one time I got it where it read they left together. *shrugs*

I can't find that slide in the toolset. Are you sure it isn't from a mod? *confused*

I'm certain it's not. I've always managed to get this slide. And I haven't been able to find it in the toolset either. That's why I loaded up a save. Which probably means nothing at all... or that you are right. But I didn't start adding mods until several months after I started playing. Meaning, no mods for the first 3 or 4 playthroughs at least. This is a headscratcher for sure.theskymoves wrote...

And here is Alistair in the fade. I never had so much trouble convincing him he was dreaming. He just stood there and let me fight Goldanna on my own.

Also, never knew this existed! The Warden seems pretty excited too.

Just saw what the fade transformations look like when you use a toolset morph. That was quite horrifying. Glad no one was there to see the Warden's beastly Golem except me. At least the burning man was just missing a head... but the golem had the eyeballs floating. I wonder why that happens...
Oh, yeah, I forgot to warn you about that. My friend literally screamed when she saw that the first time. Basically, the head .mor file overrides all changes made to your character's graphics - including the transformations in the fade. This means that the head cannot change, and the weirdness you see is the graphics trying to keep the head as dictated by the morph file, which means they get all outta whack. Your head is still there with the burning man, it's just that because you're a female elf, it's buried somewhere in the graphics of his chest. But... yeah, the golem is nightmare-inducing, giggle-fest hilariously horrifying. I always use the Skip the Fade mod now for that reason, and you still get all the upgrades from the experience.
Did you get a screenshot perchance? I keep forgetting to get one.

Alistair: My job is to stand here and look cute. You got it, right?
Speaking of looking cute

Indeed I did. I take WAY too many screenshots.
Is this the one you were looking for? It's not the the clearest. I can go in and try to get one of the eyes, but they are hard to see with the fade blur.
